Being a bisexual woman isn't uncommon. 1 in 3 women are bisexual to some degree. I don't know why people are even shocked when a woman is honest about this kind of thing. I have several female friends who are bisexual and when they've told me such, I responded with "Huh, OK... any kinky story's I should know?" (I usually get a loving punch at this point) I really don't know why your parents got upset about this kind of thing. Are they old fashioned or something?

I think its the possibility that she may fall in love with a girl that would be worrying her parents. A fair amount of both males and females have sexual feelings towards both genders, but very few actively do not have a preference when it comes to gender when picking a significant other. The stigma attached to people who are bisexual stems from that.

Yes my parents always asked if I was, and I never said yes or no to it, I was too shy to tell them. Till one day I told my mom and then my dad. :)
