I saw this documentary in full years a go and I fell in love with this group. Their story is sad, they were forgotten singers and this guy brought them back together took them to NY and had memorable concert, one I will never forget. Thank You for letting us see this fabulous group. Not too long after the documentary aired a few of the singers died.

Esta es una musica unica e irrepetible. Tuve la oportunidad de vivirla en el año 1993, cuando fui a un festival de coros internacionales en Santiago de Cuba y de verdad puedo decir con toda propiedad que ese es un pueblo admirable muy a pesar de lo que alli sucede en politica, la vidad alli es bella las personas estan dispuestas a compartir con amor y hermandad.

No government is averse to using the talents of it's people for it's own propaganda, communist or capitalist. Also, "these great talents" you mentioned, had their life long dreams fulfilled. They toured Europe and finally performed at Carnegie hall, as well as paid a wage. Every body got something out of it including we the spectators. I bought the dvd the cd's and it drew me & my wife to Cuba for a holiday of a lifetime.
