I want to update my Wii and thought I heard there was a way to but if it isn't done a certain way, then having homebrew on it wouldn't matter since it'd be removed after the update.. is there a way to update without that happening?

this way will not harm your wii, nor will it void your warranty as you are not opening up the console.

if you do a system reset it will take it back to factory setting and no one will ever know you hacked it.

the only illegal part is to play backup games you dont own.

no. the zelda way is the only way but you will only need it for a few minutes so you can either rent or borrow a copy.

I did everything you said, but what about the Twilight hack? You only said to cut and paste the real Zelda save from the SD card to the pc. What do you do with the twilight hack?

the twilight hack one of the files you will have copied to your SD card after creating the save and cut/pasting the original save to your pc. you can just delete the file but if its a real progress save you used then youl lose your save! when you walk backwards using the nunchuck you are applying the hack.

just format it to FAT16 and you will have no problems.
