Whether you like AARP or not... the deal is that if you simply post a video saying where you want to be when you turn 50 (which can be sitting in front of your computer commenting on YouTube videos, which some people are obviously passionate about), you can win some money and other people can know about your dreams or aspirations.

The AARP has been and remains one of, if not the, most powerful lobbying group in Washington, D.C. Allying with "idealists" does not change that fact that the AARP has had a huge role in scaring lawmakers away from Social Security reforms. Much of the insolvency that young You Tube users will face in the future is on the shoulders of this organization's practices. Five thousand dollars hardly makes up for that.
