Ouch . Much more fun and less expensive to build your self . My first plane was a brushless pitts . Carefully assembled it took it out ground tested it every thing was fine and a few people gathered around so being the hero I hit the power and it rose up slowly so I pushed the stick up to make it rise faster and hit the ground total loss
@daveyedgar You watch the ad video with demo flight you spend the money then wait and wait for it to arive put it togther making sure every detail is perfect then you test fly it and go home with a lot of pieces of foam but at least you still have the big box it came in. I should have read the instructions up is down and back is up
@daveyedgar I could not get the hang of a flight simulator I had so I trashed some planes insted . I am thinking of building a new plane soon maybe an acrobatic plane as the balsa plane is more of a trainer and I have thought of a name for it allready
@daveyedgar Epp seems a realy good product to build with but it is impossible to get in Ireland the epp I use is from packaging so I will stick with balsa and coriboard which is readily avalible
i really like the idea of reversing the motor because i am modifaing my wild hawk and i got alot of extra stuff so i think i will use the idea of reverse ti use the motor for my aircraft cariare
More power is the way to go! The original Wild Hawk has the perfect ratio, and it's very hard to recreate it. I recently got the ParkZone Vapor, it's a blast! Good Luck!
If you do get a Spektrum Dx6i, think about getting a "Bind and Fly" model, such as the "ParkZone Vapor." They are really fun and can be flown indoors when the weather is bad.
Ya thats a great idea I was looking at that vapor earlier. I would like something to fly in small spaces. And it seems that the dx6i is the most popular radio. Thanks man :)
Alright! Looks a lot lighter. You're probably loosing a little thrust with the prop in front. Maybe try slimming the nose down a bit to allow more flow. So this is the final vid on the Scatch Hawk??
Awesome job!
BTW, are you using more creamer in your coffee? Looks a bit pail. LOL!

@michaelrc1 cool are you gonna use epp foam to build it? I would highly recommend that

Im not so sure your spposed to design the rear fin tohave lift, I think that is sopposed to be neutral.

Oh no kidding? wow i wonder if that had something to do with the flight characteristics. I'm gonna check that out. Thanks for the comment :)

I use adobe premier to edit and export, and the free 'any video converter' to convert to flv and upload using the bulk feature cuz its quicker.

Ah thanks , awesome , keep up the good work,

now that would be kool , i love how resourceful you are, sounds like me make it with what you got.
RCFMitch we have one and its so hard to control .not enuff control surface.

Thanks Mitch! I've been shopping around for brushless combos, but I think i have one more idea hehe.

You totally hit the mark cyclone. With that under powered brushed motor and heavy battery, its virtually impossible. Thanks for the comment.
