All Honda Fits sold in North America Have side airbags and frontal airbags standard. That particular model is a Japanese model.

all Honda models in the U.S. come with SAB standard, but in japan, it's an optional feature since all cars over there are small.

Yes, however, in most Asian/European market it's been released since Fall of 07 as an 08 model. North America market since it's late launch for the 07 Fit. will have to wait another year before we see this new model which is more powerful, safer, little bit more efficent.
