  • Akuma's not such a bad guy once you get to know him...

  • LP LP > LK HP

    AKUMA WINS! PERFECT!

  • YAY! I LIKE THE PRINCIPAL SOUND! ^o^

  • Hell's new national anthem.

  • Fuumatsû Shin Gou Zankûu : TENMA

    Require 3 lvl bars, damage : 80 % of health, effiency : 100 %

  • this song describes something different than akuma is, but i fell in luv with this song, I am listening to it the 20. time now!

  • Akuma = Best

  • its cool as another song .. howeva it killed main song

  • shun goku satsu

  • SHOUS!

  • AWSOME!!

  • wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!this is hot

  • Gouki is just the most fucking epic character ever created by capcom.

  • @6robyc Capcom makes all of their characters epic! Just epic. Epic, epic, epic!

  • @expo1403 lol well expo1403 i appreciate the support on all those comments, guess we can agree to disagree man what do you say?

  • I don't think akuma can die. He stared death in the face and kicked it back like Chuck Norris did.

Oh yeah, Chuck Norris vs Akuma!

  • what the symbol on back stan for???

  • @CutieMikell It can mean a lot of things in Japanese such as day, heaven and invincibility. It is synonymous with Immortal, Capcom always viewed Akuma as an immortal demonic warrior who is no longer human. I guess in Japanese Folklore whenever the number 10 (Akuma's symbol) appears on a person's forehead, it means that person is immortal. That is why Capcom placed that symbol on the back of his gai

  • @GrobycRocketFist oh thank u...

  • SWEAR !.. every Akuma has to have that exclusive Part in 0:36 or its not a Akuma theme !

  • Mixed with the God Rugal theme... nice!

  • @wblstudios Cool call. Didn't notice it until you pointed it out

  • Damm the beat in this remix is great!

  • What does that symbol on akumas back mean?

  • @WilltheGamer Sky or Heaven

  • @WilltheGamer Heavenly Sky

  • Akuma=Instant hell murder

  • @TheSavior711 See they should have translated it over. Imagine him saying that instead of "Raging Demon!" in SFIV. I personally think it would be cooler. Or if they just left it untranslated. Nobody says "Wave Motion Fist"... they say "Hadoken!".

  • 0.41 wicked pic man

  • I dont usually like akumas Theme, but this was nice!

  • I say this is one of best Akumas themes I heard. It's actually I fav one.

  • Sounds like The Prodigy, class version of this theme

  • I look below and I recognize that more than just me understand Akuma. Just because he wishes to use the full extent doesn't make him evil, or bad. It's the rule of the battlefield. Two men compete, one lives. He wishes not to get involved with civilians due to "softening up". Albeit his age, Akuma is only young on the battlefield, and will stop at nothing to achieve greatness. What's wrong with a controlled bloodlust? NOTHING. TAKE IT ALL; LEAVE NOTHING!!!

  • The only people Akuma kills are those that he deems "Worthy" opponents. In other words, fighters who put up an extraordinary fight against him, and those that he deems have reached their highest potential.

For example, if he wins against Sakura in SF4, he tells her to come back when she is ready.

  • he says that because he sences the dark hadou in her and YES she has it too she just hasnt been able to awaken it in the actual stroyline of the games only as WHAT IFS in games like MUGEN and others of the sort

  • you got a point there

i even saw dark sakura in marvel vs street fighter

  • this is not the oC remix theme

  • Many, everybody thinks he's evil.

    More of a Chaotic Neutral.

  • The story also said that Ryu seeks Akuma but since he knows that his master is alive I dont know what they would do now if they stick to that story.

  • Ryu wasn't seeking to avenge Gouken. He wanted a firmer understanding of what the Satsui no Hadou was, so he sought Akuma. After their meeting and fight, he begin trying to keep it from consuming him. Ken wanted revenge, but I guess he stopped caring after awhile.

BTW, saw my comments on your channel?

  • Na i didnt see it lol. BTW I'm going to be gone for a while. Ill check the comment.

  • So throwing hes humanity to learn an Art to kill (which he didnt have to), murder his master and almost killed his brother isnt evil to you? Even requesting death seems vice. Then I dont know what you would call evil. To me those are great qualities that MOST people would call evil. Akuma would basically kill whoever thats worth killing. Due to his code he wont provoke a fight. That doesnt make him neutral at all. I seen animes that Akuma attacked Ryu w/o being motivated. Cant name them.

  • He didn't have to, but then he and Gouken didn't have to learn the murderous art in the first place. Akuma just follows the teachings of his master. For him, it's disgraceful and a perversion to use Goutetsu's style and vow to not kill. Akuma's code and his fight-to-the-death code is similar to a Samurai code.

If Akuma attacked unprovoked and even attacked the unwilling, he'd be evil to me. But I see him like I see certain neutral Samurai.

  • Gouken learn the art and transformed it into a more facile art which makes him courteous, Akuma's learning from his master wanted to keep the Art traditional which is brutal makes him a murderer. Now I cant remember one of the animes that he did attack Ryu unprovoked and he even smiled. Ryu just defended himself.

About Samurais, if someone tries to swing a KANTANA at you or say a knife, I expect you to fight for your life too or I hope so. LOL!

  • Actually, Ill call him Lawful Evil at best.

Yeah, yeah I play D&D lol.

  • check out my version of the shun goku satsu move!!!!

  • Akuma is an allegory to what a martial artist could become if he loose himself to his evil intentions.

  • Evil? No. Akuma isn't evil. He just thinks it's OK to fight your hardest and to the death (if your opponent is worthy).

  • ...Aaaaaaand that makes him evil, since he kills people.

  • So soldiers and cops are evil? Thanks for that stupid-ass logic.

Seriously though, Akuma doesn't kill for the sake of killing. It's just that his strength is so far up that fighting his hardest can kill an opponent. If he's fighting someone who's worthy of facing his true form (Shin Akuma), he considers it disgraceful of himself to hold back just because he might end their life.

He's not evil. He's just a warrior who seeks opponents that can match his ability...

  • Wow. Your first sentence is so utterly stupid, agressive and off topic that it makes you look like an ass. Chill out man, or you'll end up reaching the Godwin Point soon.

  • On topic. Do you really think that Ken or Ryu do not give their best when they fight ? Yet, they do not kill their opponents. Of course, Akuma is looking for opponent worth facing, but that's because he wants to destroy them. Remebrer what he says ?

"To beat you is not enough. I must destroy you!"

"Evil is what I am. Death is what I bring."

"The unworthy must be removed from existence."

"Shall I dismember you to demonstrate your weakness?"

    "Destroy!"

    Sounds evil to me.

  • "Akuma kills people, therefore he is evil" which also means "soldiers and cops are evil because they kill people". Don't you love this fail logic of yours?

  • You're the one failing right here. Cops and soldiers only kill when it's the only thing left to do, and when they do it, they do not do it because they enjoy killing (at least I hope) but because it's necessary. They are meant to be guardians of the peace, and sadly, that implies sometime having to take the life of peoples that threaten that peace. That does not make them evil.

On the other hand, Akuma kills because he thinks weak people do not deserve to live. And that's indisputably evil.

  • Killing is killing, regardless of reasons. Under your first statement here, Akuma is evil because he kills people. By extension, cops, soldiers, secret agents, even people who kill in defense are "evil". That's your statement when you first replied to me :)

Akuma doesn't kill the weak. He won't even face the weak and incapable. Akuma only seeks STRONG opponents. Weak ones who can fight at worst will just get a beating.

Non-SF games are known for putting characters out of element. >_>

  • "Killing is killing, regardless of reasons." So soldiers and cops are evil? Thanks for that stupid-ass logic. :)

"The unworthy must be removed from existence." is from Third Strike, "Shall I dismember you to demonstrate your weakness?" is from Alpha 3. He wasn't out of element here. If a "weak" opponent faces him, he will kill him because of his weakness. At least, that's what those two quotes are saying.

  • Hey, I'm just using your logic on "Akuma is evil because". So you are using my quote to call your logic stupid-ass (like I did originally).

    ...lol

3rd Strike quote refers to those unworthy of their power or ability. This is why he tried killing Bison. Alpha 3 quote is a suggestion to a defeated opponent to show how weak they are. But the fact is Akuma's portrayal is he seeks worthy opponents and only accepts challenges from the worthy.

  • His ultimate goal is to find someone who can defeat and kill him in battle. But it's frustrating to find either strong opponents who won't kill him or hold back their power (Gouken, Ryu) and opponents who would try to and fail. If Akuma senses potential in someone, he will let them live and try and encourage them to get better (via insults).

  • Heck, only person Akuma is confirmed killing is his master Goutetsu. Gouken and Gen survived the Raging Demon (and Gen was spared a continuing due to his leukimia), Bison (who was targeted because of his ACTUAL evil ways) came back with his 3rd body.

  • "Heck, only person Akuma is confirmed killing is his master Goutetsu."

Well, he did try to kill other people. Murder and murder attempt are the same thing in my book.

  • im afraid he has a point there, metaXzero

  • Saying "Akuma is evil because he kills people (or attempts to)" is not "a point" or it's not a good one. As I said to him, cops and soldiers would be considered evil by extension.

  • No, because this is not the act of klling in itself that is evil, but the purpose behind the killing. Cops and soldiers only kill when it's necessary in order to protect peace*, Akuma kills because he only respect the art of fighting, and nothing else. He don't care about peace, life, or the consequences of his actions. And that's not right.

    * [Well except for nazis or other armies that tried to conquer other countries, obviously.]

  • So, you've finally abandoned your original statement on Akuma.

Akuma's goal (to find strong, willing warriors to fight to the death) makes Akuma a bit selfish and brutal. That does not make him evil. Those who Akuma fights are those who want to fight him too.

  • Hey remember when you said Gouki mean strong ogre and Strong Sprit? It also means Strong "Demon". Demons are........

    Got ya >:D

  • Gouki has 3 meanings. Who knows which is the one it refers too? And demons aren't neccessarily evil by default (See Devil May Cry). I assume "strong spirit" is the intended reference, but only Capcom knows.

Even so, it's just a name. Gouken means "strong fist" and Ryu means "dragon". They aren't literally a fist and a dragon lol

  • Yeah true, but he seems malevolence (evil). Even the names of his moves lead towards evil intent In reality, Demons in dictionaries, tales and to most religious cultures, they are evil sprits. Anyway, like we said before its all up to Capcom. BTW Devil May Cry rocks, Oh dont forget Castlevania. Hey, Do you play SF4 on Xbox or PS3?

  • The names of his moves lead to the fact that they are destructive and lethal (like how his spinning kick's name in Japanese means slashing or cutting kick).

Unfortunantely, I lack either system currently. My friend has it on PS3.

  • Yeah but what do you think about him throwing his humanity to be stronger and emotionless?

Darn, Oh well I play Xbox with joystick (its my friends also). Im so use to the Joystick now that I don't like the controllers anymore. Do you play any games online for PS2?

  • He's dedicated. So dedicated to mastering Goutetsu's martial art that he threw away his humanity. And despite his obssession, he still has a surprising amount of self-control (unlike SnH Ryu). He won't attack the weak or incapable, he won't attack those who won't fight him back, and he doesn't abuse his power like Bison (which is why Akuma wrecked his 2nd body). He even goes to towns and sells fruit lol

Akuma's just selfish and obssessive (he really wants to find someone who'll defeat him).

  • Dedication? More like sold he's soul to kill w/o emotion. Thats not selfish, thats evil or both in my eyes. Yeah, I agree that he has self control but so do Ryu. Seems like everytime he fights, he always holds back. But I see if he is in the SnH, yeah he goes berserk (based on the Horrible DVD Movie). At the end he turned into something else... I forgot what that was. I know they going to put that into the story.

Akuma selling fruit?! Where did you get that info? I want to read it lol.

  • Like I said, to master Goutetsu's martial art in it's rawest form. Akuma probably figured WITH his humanity, he'd never master it. After mastery, he just wants to find someone to take him down. Because Akuma doesn't go around picking fights to the death, attacking random people, or using his power for an evil purpose like Bison (and even oppossing Bison because of his intent), I can't call Akuma an evil being. He's obssessive and selfish, yet adheres to a strict honor code. For me, he's neutral.

  • Again, I never said that he goes around killing people. I can see how hes neutral to you due to his code, but his obsession and selfishness to me is evil. He killed his master and tried/almost killed Gouken (his brother) w/o being provoked and He only fights to the death and killing others without emotion. I would call him "Neutral" if Capcom decides that hes a "depressed" after kill his opponents because of his uncontrollable deeds.

  • Akuma only fights when his opponent accepts his challenge or gives him a challenge. He won't attack an unwilling person and force them to defend themself.

With Goutetsu, it was a "have I surpassed my master?" fight. Goutetsu accepted the challenge and in defeat was proud that Akuma was on his way to mastering their art (including the SGS).

With Gouken, it was a battle of ideals really. Gouken rejected the killing aspect of their art and Akuma considered that weak and disgraceful.

  • They fought and Gouken won. Akuma requested death, but Gouken refused. Akuma trained and challenged Gouken many years later. Gouken accepted again and they fought again (and we know what happened). Outside of Goutetsu and Gouken, Skuma rarely challenges, fighters challenge him.

Yeah, I saw some of "The Ties That Bind". Poorly animated, but still nifty.

  • So you think killing a master and a brother just to be the strongest as a goal in life isn't evil? Thats not normal or neutral at all. That leans more toward evil then anything. You might compare that to Ryus seeking to be the strongest but you cant because he doesnt kill people that accept his challenge or he doesnt mean to. He just seeks a challenge in my eyes.

  • When I consider things like both parties (master and brother) accepting Akuma's challenge KNOWING the worst case scenario and Akuma's overall honor code, no, I can't call him evil. I consider it Akuma following Goutetsu's martial art to it's fullest. If Akuma had actually attacked them and attacked others, I'd think differently. But he has a strict honor code and will only fight those who are going to fight back.

  • Even with the opponents accept the risk, throwing away humanity just to murder your master/brother just to be the strongest fighter just isnt neutral. I know a lot of people would agree with that. No one has to die just to prove that hes the strongest, but Akuma wants it that way. So you think his code makes him Neutral? I say it makes him Lawful Evil.

  • He threw away his humanity for mastering the martial art (and the Shun Goku Satsu) in it's original form.

Under Goutetsu's teachings, defeat and death are one and the same since his martial art IS designed to kill. To master Goutetsu's art means to follow that principle.

Akuma's willingness to kill reminds me of Mugen from Samurai Champloo. He's a cocky Samurai who when he duels, it's to the death. But I nor alot of SC fans can really consider him evil.

  • Akuma follows an honor code that means to lose is death and ordered gouken to kill him after gouken won their first fight. I understand your view but I don't think it's evil. I also notice no one says samurais are evil because of ther honor code, and also he think he's merely following his master's teaching which he is, and noone says his master is evil. And sagat beat dans father to death and he's considered neutral. And also mugen he was a murderous pirate before the series and he's good?

  • Yeah he is not evil, you ever seen the pic of him giving fruit to a boy in a cave? The japanese don't really have good or evil, it's all about one's belief (I think I am making this up, but you get what I mean ). M. Bison is evil though, and he is an asshole.

  • Yeah I've seen that pic And I get what you mean.

  • No you're right Akuma isn't evil. He Just loves to fight and has sold his soul to the Satsui No Hado (which is evil.) He is the total opposite to his brother Gouken who was the master of Ryu, Ken and was the master to Dan Hibiki for a short while too.

  • I heard the boy in the picture was Ryu, and he had asked Akuma(Gouki) for a pieace of fruit and Akuma told him "No"! If you want a piece of fruit plant these seeds and grow your own and you'll never have to ask again for a piece of fruit...and it was actually seeds that he gave the little boy not a piece of fruit, not trying to be a smart ass but look at the picture again...give someone a piece of fruit and they'll have fruit for a day, teach them to grow fruit and they'll have fruit for years.

  • That's cool. Where'd you hear that? I thought it was that boy he saved from the cliff on his island Gokuentou.

  • I heard it from one of those Japanese Capcom groups, I kinda thought it was Ryu myself but you could be right too, you know how they are in Japan with these games, they could have a thousand stories about time they are finished with it. And their fictional characters become life like before they are done.

  • Hmmmm, I wonder if the little boy he saved was Ryu? You know he's always had an interest in Ryu because Ryu has the Evil Intent and the potential to be just as powerful as Akuma, remember when fighting Ryu, Akuma spends a lot of time trying to make Ryu tap into that energy, hence forth Evil Ryu...and Gouki spends a lot of time trying to kill Ryu...you know that Highlander saying: "There can only be one"!

  • Hmmm that's nicer than I thought. lol Akuma's such a good person. Akuma should fight buddha

  • You're being sarcastic about Akuma being nice, right? I love his character's personality, it's all about the fight with him, and if you get dead in the process so be it, it's what he really wanted anyway(LMAO)..."ssjakuma" got a little deeper than I would have with it but I'm feeling his words...sounds like a person that actually fights.

  • Yeah I was sarcastic. lol

  • Well usually it starts that way,as we know most people who learn the art that Ken and Ryu know are good natured,it's the path you take afterward that defines how you use it.

  • too badd buddah is peace will buddah hit back?

  • buddha said he will only tolerate the same provocation 3 times. wonder buddha can survive Shungokusatsu?

  • Yujiro vs akuma would be epic. The worlds strongest creature vs the other worlds strongest creature.Lol

  • i think Yujiro is alot stronger akuma and im excluding the hawduken shit

  • @WarrenKeingGaw I think Yujiro could be stronger than Akuma but the Shun Goku Satsu and Kongo Koku Retsu Zan might be Akuma's trump card. Yujiro has no problem dodging machine gun fire, I don't think a hadouken would give him trouble, but an attack to his soul like the SGS would put him down and out for sure.

  • @ThePsychoguy yujiro is just a monster akuma is demon god

  • I would love to see Hanma Yujiro Vs Akuma I think Akuma Might Win but you can't count Yujiro Out.

  • He'll only kill someone as strong as he is and even then he warns them. Oh and thanks for being polite about this argument.

  • Wow, you're real late and that "debate" was over with about a mouth ago lol. But thanks for replying.

  • Yeah I thought so. I was gonna Reply like 4 weeks ago but my computer locked screwed up and I had get it fixed. -.-

  • Aww. That sucked.

  • It did.

  • In comparison, SnH Ryu earns his USA name "Evil Ryu". He's not so much looking for a strong opponent as he is just wanting to destroy anything around him. A being a pure malevolence really.

Their is an official SF Alpha pic of Akuma selling fruit to a child. You can see it in Related Videos (scroll down). I also remember a tale of Akuma taking care of a young boy who fell into his cave and getting him back to his folks, but I can't find a source anymore. So it might just be fanfic. :/

  • I agree with you on SnH Ryu hes a bad ass. Did you see the DVD Movie that came with the game? At the end (not going to spoil it) He changed into something else. It wasn't evil neither. If you havn't checked it out go for it. But its poorly made but it came with the game so I'm assuming that its going to be part of the story.

  • As he has said in Alpha 3 "Every victory is a missed opportunity to die".

Sorry, I don't have online for my PS2. If I did, I'd have MGS3 and Brothers in Arms online.

  • Anyway, Akuma believes in the original intent of Goutetsu's martial art (to fight to kill). Gouken took out the killing parts of it (and witheld the Shoryuken) and taught this new style (and new intent) to Ryu/Ken (and a little Dan).

Akuma' full ability can kill people, but he only wants to use that on those able to stand against him.

Where are those first 2 quotes even from? SNK vs. Capcom?

  • The quotes are from Puzzle Fighter. See ? Even in kiddy games, he's evil ! :)

  • Akuma isn't evil. He is just a very misunderstood guy.

  • Wow you're here too Hahah cool theme hu?

  • Yep. Same debate, different vid.

    Love this remix!

  • gouki is powered with power rage

    can't control this power rage

    (satsui no hadou)

  • "shall i dismember you to demonstrate your weakness?"

  • xDDD(phrase of Akuma in SFA3)

  • check out guitarman stuart's version

  • the sign on akumas/goukis back that appears after the use of shungokusatsu or after defeating and opponent, what does it mean?

  • sky or heaven

  • For most games, it's the symbol of "TEN" which means sky or heaven.

  • quick question here, why is he known as akuma and gouki, they are the same person. but why does he have 2 names? and i know that gouki and akuma both mean the same thing, but can someone help me out here?

  • In Japan, he is originally named Gouki which means "strong ogre" or "strong spirit". In America, he is renamed to Akuma which means "devil". The Americans thought he was possessed by a demon/devil so they renamed him to Akuma.

  • oh, is that really why? seems kind of a fake story but if that's really why hmm lol.. thanks

  • It was fake. Capcom USA tried to establish Gouki as a demon-possessed martial artist (hence the name change to Akuma which means "Demon" or "devil). Though the fake story went away, the name Akuma stuck.

  • Because americans just had to ruin the good things in japanese games an anime.

  • I Can't FUCKING WAIT FOR THE STREET FIGHTER MOVIE TO COME OUT!

  • hehe, really? well it better not be like the old live action movie was bull shit!

  • "You've served your purpose in life by allowing me to end it!"

"Only I can claim control over the very fabric of death itself!"

Such a bad ass theme. Perfect for the most bad ass character ever made. Gouki ftw.

  • Don't forget!

"Weakness is a disease. I am the cure!"

  • Yes!

    "My fist knows no equal!"

"Your body assumed its proper form when my fists tore it apart!"

  • GOUKI IS COMPLETE ONIJ! Especially since his most powerful unbeatable attack is Shun Goku Satsu.

  • To fight me means to feed your soul to the jaws of death!!!! You are weak for not relying solely upon your fist!!!

  • this beat is sick!

goes great with the intensity && power of akuma

  • ryte .. the shit gives you that "this is it" kind of feel

  • akuma is, and always will be my favorite character

  • What does Akuma's Kanji (writing on his back) actually mean?

  • wikepedia says:sky,heaven, or providence

  • the symbols is supposed to mean that, to be able to beat Akuma, you have to be a god.

  • If I was a wealthy and successful game developer I'd pay money to produce an anime T.V. special, 1 hour long, in which Yujiro Hanma fights Akuma; I'd love to see Akuma smack the crap out of Yujiro.

  • its chinese for 'heaven' or 'sky'

  • actually its japanese

(not tryn to sound like an asshole or anything)

  • actually "Xgloomshadow" its CHINESE

kanji is chinese, incase you didn't know that

upon that its been said that japanese use to be chinese 1000s of years ago thats why alot of stuff is so similar, actually most stuff example "oragami" DIDN'T come from japan it originated in china (^^)

not surprising china didn't just invent alot of stuff it was actually the first to discover the world..as its ships were far superior to christopher columbus (lol learn anything new?) ^^

  • really?, didnt know that

    tnx for the info

but the japanese use the symbol anyway (i know kanji is chinese but its also japanese, im pretty sure they use different symbols though)

  • Gloom ur right, while japanese did ORIGINATE from chinese characters after 1000s of years they change into a similar yet completely different set of characters. Japanese are also very nationalistic and as a result they would NOT use chinese characters in this case unless it were contextual which it isnt since Akuma/gouki is japanese and learned Japanese martial Arts, in this case the Fictional Cross breed of Karate and Judo, Ansatsuken.

  • It's Chinese, the Japanese took it for their own with many others and call it Kanji. Kanji means Han characters, Han is an ethnic group native to China which are 92 percent of the population

  • as a true fan of akuma i just want to say that this song is dope. very good remix. now i can unleash the wrath of the dark hedou to these beats.

  • akuma > world

  • AKUMA=POWER

    evil master.

when he walks, he walks alone

when he fights, he fights alone

no 1 can stand agains him.

  • Such power...What IS Akuma? O.o

  • A miserable little pile of secrets!

  • Power made flesh!

  • Pure murderous intent. The embodiment of fighting for killing, and to be the strongest.

  • You know this track isn't actually in SFII HD Remix.

  • sickest song for the sickest fighter

  • A rule of thumb for any of Gouki's/S.Gouki's themes...There are always two sides to the music. On one hand (as Gouki/S.Gouki), this music makes you truly live for the fight. On the other...It's pretty much tells you that you're dead...

  • The Sickest theme for the Sickest mothafuka badass in Street Fighter history!!

  • IMPRESSIVE

  • Gouki's theme still sounds greater than anything else, no matter how many remixes are are made coz they all own other themes!

  • Akuma is the sickest in Street Fighter!!! The song is nice too!!

  • Fucking Amazing!!! I love it!

  • me too
