Try using Mylar foil instead of cooking foil, it's more reflective so you will instantly get more free power. They use it for lining indoor growing rooms for this reason (yes, I mean cannabis farms lol). It's dirt cheap, try a hydroponic shop
This is the technology we should pursue. I know it's being done on a commercial scale to generate electricity, but it isn't catching on. This is 200-year-old technology that can save the planet. Low tech and green.

Actually I know it's more reflective at visible light spectrums, I'm not too sure about infra red. But worth a try.
