It appeared to be a headset' commercial? Expensive noise- cancelling headsets DON'T dull out the physicall thud of an aircraft hitting Silverstone that day. But that place remained respectively very quiet for a long time.. Thankfully the competition continued, in rememberance of a loss.
And she died how? Plane crash in which she was the sole manipulator of the controls. Sad? Yes. But like Amelia Earhart a very POOR role model for women in aviation and women aspiring to become a pilot.
I don't appreciate watching videos for 2 minutes only to find it is a COMMERCIAL for a product that they state will help you in a life or death situation, Our fear based society has got to change. Thanks for helping me make my decision ZULU, it is either a Bose or Dave Clark X-10 now.
Vicki was a fine candidate for our World Land Speed Record bid with the Fossett LSR . We met several times in serious discussion about her driving the car and becoming the first woman to exceed 500MPH on land. There was no doubt this gal had everything it would take to get the job done. I can only find comfort knowing she went out in flight, living on the edge where she was so very comfortable and capable.

It was truely a sad day for aerobatics and especially the IAC. Sadly my father was one of the first on the scene in England. She was an amazing woman and really gave some of the smaller IAC chapters a voice. She will continue to inspire the aerobatic world. She will be sorely missed. My prayers go out to her family and those that had to witness the event, especially my father.

I can not believe how cynical these people are.. A woman died and they are taking advantage of her death to advertise their headset... Unbelievable.. Shame on you, LightSpeed.
Thank you for leaving up this video that was made some time ago with Vicki's full participation. She was a great girl, a real competitor, and a friendly woman who always seemed to have a ready smile. It was good to have known her in some small way. I'll certainly miss her, but I won't forget her. My youngest daughter (10 years old) began flying this year at a field where Vicki used to fly. You can bet I'll use Vicki's story as inspiration when it's needed.
Deeply touched by the news of Vicki's accident in GB we express you our sincere condolences. This sudden and unexpected loss of such a beloved person leaves us profoundly hurt and with no expression for the grief we all feel.
In this difficult time of mourning we wish you all the strength and love. May Vicki remain in our best memories for ever.
Vicki was a great person and friend. She was a great IAC president and always fun to be around. She represented our sport and the IAC like a true professional. She was an excellent ambassador for aerobatics and she will be deeply missed.
She conquered her fears in triumph. She lived and really lived well. It is a sad tragedy this happened. Prayers for and condolences to her family and loved ones. She will always be remembered as one of the great ones!
vicki will be missed....she didnt have any children or a husband but she does have a brother and a sister in law and 2 nieces and a nephew and various other relatives that will miss her very much.....i will let them know about your condolences
Such sad sad news from Silverstone today. Watching this video makes me even more emotional about today's tragic news. RIP Vicki. If her story touches your heart too, please consider leaving a message for her tribute on the Lasting Tribute website where I've added a link back to this video.
RIP Vicky - how unfortunate the tone of this Video is, and somewhat prophetic. My condolences go to her Friends, Family & Team. Vicky died at Silverstone Airfield/Motor Racing CCT today, 22nd August 2009.
It's a commercial? This is the first commercial I saw that is over 2 and a half minutes. I thought it was a biography or something.

We only knew Vicki Cruse for a week while she was practising here at Dunkeswell with her team mates of the US Aerobatic team.
Our hearts go out to her family at this time. A great loss to aviation which was her passion.
