The fields America should be focusing on are research, university-grade jobs.

Horseshoe crabs are a great example. The US have a lot of them, and they're decreasing in numbers worldwide, and they don't exist in all that many places outside the US. So we've got a good chance at dominating there.

What are they good for? Their blood is very valuable in making all kinds of medicine, in research of viruses, extra-terrestrial life, etc. Their blood is expensive.

Supply side economics has killed the economy.

And dirivitives have taken most of the blood of the economy and squandered it.

Bernanke was made Time Magazine Man of the Year in the same way Bush and Hitler were made Man of the Year, because they have had an affect on world history, but not necessarily a good one.

That's how *I* choose to think of Time's decision, but I don't think that is *their* logic. In reading articles about the decision, it sounds like his performance garnered "respect" and "appreciation", hence the title.
