  • Johnny, here is one of your best blues playing... acoustic blues like that goes so deep to purity!

    Thanks!

  • Ever heard of Robert Johnson? He just may have made the definitive version of this tune, and I think he may have written it too, I could be wrong about that though, check it out for yourself. You can't be to careful about what you ingest....the truth is a potion, a lie is a poison.

  • Listening to this in just the right mood....nothing can top it!

  • PAR EXcellant Acoustic, slide, electrick or whatever, no one can out do Johnny,,,,,huichol53.......

  • And this is electric..not naked wood

  • I have seen Johnny a few times, he is one of the greats and the real deal!

  • So good :( )

  • good song, wish he could play as fast and as randomly beautiful as hendrix though

  • Robert Johnson´s songs

  • The most underated Blues player ever except by his fellow musicians.

  • @ChaliQ1 and except his true fans worldwide. For us he is the absoute No1 for ever.Probably beside Hendrix but his music sometimes was not as undesrtandable.

  • I really love this version, He really nailed this one!!!!

By the way, what tuning might this be in anyone?:P

    Go Johnny

  • i can't believe some people think jw is not playing an acoustic!!! oh, it's acoustic alright & played beautifully. turn ya hearing aid up if you think that was an electric guitar. jw is awesome or what, whatever he plays.

  • Johnny is beyond the shit

  • geez this is a great version. Thanks.

  • My oh My.......hmmmmm...Johnny

  • OH yeah!!!! huichol53......

  • It's electric indeed

  • That's an electric guitar not acoustic

  • @Subhuman80 Yeah, electric on the clean channel.

  • Blues. Strait from the heart! Thats why it sounds so good.

  • It's not acoustic blues. He's playing an electric guitar. Sounds great, though. So nasty.

  • He sounds exactly like robert johnson !

    Go johnny

  • Johnny Winter's version of Robert Johnson's classic Kind Hearted Woman.

Shivers my backbone when listening to this.

This is heavy. Heavier by far and wide more than, say, Slayer, would even be dreaming of.

    Peace.

  • @kojocel amen brother

  • who is the guitar player? is the guitar player singing? i am 14 and from new mexico. i am trying to learn to play....this is basic stuff, but... it is not very basic. if the guitar is the singer, i am going to go shoot something. this recording is sick. wait, ok, it is johnny winter...is he the singer or the guitar player?

  • @teden20 both. it sounds simple but i bet you its hard to learn to play. but yeah johnny winter sings and plays in this.

  • @teden20 of course the guitarist is the singer, and be carefull with your words pal.

these are some covera of some songs by robert johnson

dont know if you call eric clapton basic stuff but he calls robert johnson the best guitarist who ever lived.

and it isnt even about the guitarwork

its about the emotion, that my friend we call blues.

you'd better search robert johnson, he really was great, learned to play the way he did in just a few months.

  • Is this song on a cd?

  • Johnny & SRV enough said!

  • Just so great.. It is now soon 2010. Still sounds wonderful.

  • i love it! U can tell the guitar is plugged straight into the mixin board.

  • Fucking awesome !!

    Johnny!!!!!

  • He is pure blues..

  • The CD thing is a good ideal..Thanks for posting my favorite BLUES PLAYER...

    Man Johnny is so Sweet!

  • Good Lord does this guy have the plantation blues of old school down......

    Like Robert Johnson.................scary cool......

  • I'd love to see Johnny do an album of old timey acoustic Blues. Maybe even do some acoustic tunes at his amazing shows.

  • Me, too!!!!!! ;D
