Thank you so much for posting this, and to those who pointlessly commented on the shakey aspect ... go do some "perfect" filming of a jet engine and put up here for all to enjoy OR drink a large glass of "shut the fuck up" juice.
@wxyz2009 well I can imagine you were a distance away from it for it to be running that fast, so you had to zoom in, magnifying the amount the camera shakes
@Dosalt: yeah well, that's the kind of absurb comment from a person with the intelligence of a maggot I've learned to love here. Hey, Hill-billy, why not go cut your wobbly bits off, it'll do the gene pool a BIG favour.
@presstrigga the engines don't actually "reject" birds, per se. In the new turbofans, the fan blades are designed to deform, to a limit, when hit by a solid object like a bird. This deflects most the now diced bird towards the outer wall of the engine, which gets chucked out the cold exhaust. Small pieces, however, do get sucked into the core, in which case, BBQ comes out of the hot exhaust... hope this helps :-)
@presstrigga Well, most of the air sucked in by the fan at the front doesn't pass the actual engine, but rather through a canal around the engine. Most of the thrust comes from this. A bird being ingested is in 9 times out of ten thrown through that channel, causing little or no damage at all. That 10th time when it gets sucked into the actual engine is when the troubles occur. Search for a clip called "Mayday, mayday, mayday" here on YT and you will see the potential consequenses.
No one ever posts videos of these until they completely stop. They make some truly weird noises when they get down slow, bangs and crunches and all sorts.
Yeah I know, it's because the blades particularly in the compressors are loose, so when they drop below the speed where the centrifugal force holds them tight in their mountings they rattle as the compressors rotate.
Just commenting that it doesn't sound good if you don't know what it is.
@ShokaLion Yes, that's because the turbine blades are loose on the discs, the gaps close up with the heat, but when it's cold, you can hear some funny noises, like somethings broken. The same happens with some kinds of brakes too.

I heard this engine rejects any unnecessary things and only accepts air. If a bird gets sucked in, it would reject it basically? How would this work?

@presstrigga Yes, it makes you wonder hey!

The number of times the blades appear stationary due to the phasing effect just goes to show how friggin' fast they're spinning. AWESOME.
