  • I dont understand why some of the men, who have good intentions, cannot monitor their neighborhoods and try to protect women and children from being raped by those few bad apples?

  • Hi there, if you get a chance, please look at our channel and video about a project we are involved in with children who were originally orphaned and abandoned in Kibera. Just click on the username. Thanks

  • @Cakerolled

    lol

  • Pay them to make scat porn.

  • kenyans should stop expecting the government or outsiders to do for them

  • @tamaduni hope is all they have...?

  • This really pisses me off. Actually saddens me.

  • @scrpdva I visited in 2009. Kenya in itself is a beautiful country. There are many organizations that you might be able to join and travel with. I do NOT recommend travelling alone. I have with friends in Western started chicken farms. My intention is through sponsors in the US/UK donate eggs to the needy. One cannot fully understand what the women/people in Kenya have to tolerate on a daily basis.

Corruption is rampant. The people are wonderful.

  • where is the prime minister i thought he s the mp???

  • as long as they keep voting for the same minister who does not keep his word kibera will remain the same.yet people want to vote him as president!if all those years he has been MP for Lang'ata and kibera is still the same can he really be president??seriously people should think twice before they vote

  • Kibera is Raila's backyard, this slum dwellers contribute a great percentage in his votes; the notion is , they ought to remain like that since if they are empowered, they will have a choice to make when voting, but as long as a guy is busy promising them hope, giving them sugar and 100ksh note during campaigns, they will continue to be enslaved to the politician.

  • Look at the way people are suffering in kibera and our leaders are just stealing money day and night. These people suffering are the same people who came out in big numbers to vote in this thieves back to parliament. shame on kenyas leaders

  • Meanwhile, the Wabenzi are leaving in absolute grandeur, and getting away with stealing millions of pounds of public funds, please!!!

  • This is the story of Women in Kibera, not Liberia, S. Africa, the US, Canada etc. It is not meant to make Kenya look bad. The Kenya Govt does not do much for Kibera residents, they rely on NGO's. A sure way of uplifting peoples lives would be to empower the Women. Train and finance them to start small businesses and they will do wonders. Education is the ticket out of Kibera. The problem is, there are 1 or 2 schools in Kibera! These are long term investments that would better a lot of lives.

  • @nyumbayamumbi What you said makes absolute sense.

  • Hunger is hunger; sufferation is sufferation. It's world wide & it's a damn shame. Each one help one so instead of debating on whose has it the worse, make a difference, even if it's a small one.

  • Amen!!

  • Hey it looks like Liberia...or is it South Africa? Oh wait this could be anywhere in Africa...Guess you gotta start somewhere though. I just know Kenya is a hell of a lot better off than a lot of places in Africa...

  • Nope, it's Kenya. The thing with Kenya is that politicians spend most of their time stealing government funds, investing in their businesses, and buying up Europe and the Americas instead of doing their jobs. In the last 5yrs alone, the amount money conspicuously stolen was more than enough to turn those slums into proper housing.

  • the thing about places with a higher social class, it only means a greater economic divide. Kenya may be better off, but they also hold the largest slum in east africa.

seeing it and having friends their myself, these videos honestly do not do it justice.

  • And you know this for a fact...how? Have you been all over Africa? Nonsense!

  • write letters to the U.S govt.sanctions,etc.are why things are that way worldwide

  • there are women&children living HERE in North America under those conditions RIGHT NOW

  • where ??? LOL you are being a bit of a drama queen.

  • R U SERIOUS? where do u live? UnderARock,USA?!

there are piss poor immigrants who practice the same

behavior as when they were 'back 'home'.there are cult groups, religious sects, etc.who slip under your govt's radar&arent uncovered til its too late

  • where?? be specific

  • youre hunger for that info isnt healthy nor will it be helpful.i can tell.i'd be better off dead if i couldnt help someone, but you! you like sensationalism.controversy.this isnt a rock concert, dude, this is human suffering and it will come home [2you]to roost b/c the U.S is responsible for a huge part of it so you can have your pc/tv/vd reality, porkslapper

  • because you are just being overdramatic. people in the US get welfaqre , housing and food assistance. quit being the victim , people in the us (even black people) have it made. this is a terrible situation in africa , but dont say that its like this here , thats just feeling sorry for yourself.

  • There's 28 million people on foodstamps in the US, it's not much better in the UK, a third of all children live in poverty over here.

  • In Vancouver, the east side slum is one of the worst in north america. It's full of cockroaches and soggy old buildings full of mold. I am not sure if this is the same in the USA but here you have to have an address to get welfare, but you can't get an address without money. People usually end up on the streets selling themselves or stealing to survive.

  • A lot of the migrant workers that come out here in the summers from god knows where live in disgusting conditions. They usually share a small room with way to many people or 'rent' a 'cabin' from whatever slum farmer they are working for.

  • THANK YOU FOR THIS AMAZING VIDEO

  • My sister is getting a visa to move over there for a year and do what she can. She volunteered in a school last time she was there. But when she saw the school master he was driving a shiny new car and she said he was obviously corrupt.

  • what can i do to help these women? watching these videos makes me want to help! how can i ?
