Good video, but 1st and 2nd cousins are far enough removed to reproduce safely with. Infact it's quite legal to marry 1st cousins in almost every state. The risk of an abnormal child is the same with a 1st cousin as it is with a woman who is age 35-39. 2nd cousin and above has no added risk beyond the inherient risk of the womans age. Just the facts of human reproduction. There were people outside of Eden acording to the bible, and Noah's lot easily had enough cousins to pass around.

Cheetah's are so inbred that they can do skin grafts from any cheetah in the world to another cheetah and have it accepted 100% of the time. Humans can't do that. That is why they look for a close relative in transplants. Even then its rejected a lot of the time. In severe cases of inbreeding the body can't tell it's not it's own.

Every time you move up a generation (a.k.a get less incesty), it halves. Bearing children with father/mother = 25%. So cousins would mean a 12.5% deficiency. But according to the bible, we're thousands of year of family fuck! Wow, I wonder how we're still smart today then!
@epicseizurenow That's kinda how it works, you just didn't divide enough though. It would be parent = 25%, uncle/aunt = 12.5%, cousin = 6.25% chance of having any deficiency product. Siblings arent at fifty unless they're twins. Wikipedia explains it. D:

In populations in which it is not rare, 1st cousins are already inbred, making the risk of combinations of lethal and deleterious recessive alleles a huge risk. So your arguement is only true when it is practiced in one generation with no history or practice of marrying cousins.
