@freshANDhesh Because typically right handed people skate reg. and left handed people skate goofy. But I think alot of kids these days skate goofy because when they're growing up their favorite skaters do. I don't know, I'm right handed and goofy was always the most comfortable position.

@TheKScott89 I think it's more complicated than being right/left handed. Skateboarding stance also involves which foot you're more comfortable popping with, which foot you push with better, which you flip with better, which side of your body you prefer facing forward, direction you prefer turning while spinning, etc. I think handedness only really comes into play when doing grab tricks, bonelesses or fingerflips. just my 2cents

@ErikWithBrain Right, but like I said typically left handed people are goofy, and right handed people are reg. It's the way most peoples bodies function, their preferred foot is opposite their hand. There are exceptions though. (Like me) I chose goofy because it just seemed awkward skating left foot forward, especially when you have to push really fast to set up a trick, it's the forward leg that uses all the muscle. I should start learning switch.. I can skate nollie pretty good, not switch..

But it seems stance is pretty much evenly split between reg/goofy, whereas the vast majority of people are right handed. So by your reasoning shouldnt most ppl be regular footed? I skate regs, but started out pushing mongo, b/c pushing with my right foot felt awkward, even though that's how goofy skaters like you also feel. But in the end who cares? we skate cuz it's feels goood :D
