there are 3 major branches of religious schools:
1.) abrahamic (judaism, christianity, islam etc)
2.) dharmic (hinduism, buddhism, jainism etc)
3.) taoic (taoism, confucianism, shintoism etc)
i think the common confusion occurred when, in modern times, some taoists/confucian people in east asia fused elements of buddhism in their religion. but they really are different philosophies with different roots.

Nice video . a criticism is you cannot compare Confucious to the Constitution or the founding fathers of the US
They had an emperor and a strict social structure of superior/inferior. Nothing like the liberty of the US.
