First of all asking Santorum a question which involved the hypothetical case of his daughter being raped is putting sentimentality above principle and is a very tasteless and pointless thing to do.
If men could get pregnant, so many of these discussions would be moot. And DNA is DNA. Taking a DNA sequence from a fish and sticking in a plant, or vise versa, doesn't transfer all fish characteristics to the plant.
