when i get to the point of installing 3.0 after i change it to ipsw, it will allow me to selected it but then redsnow tells me that it doesn not recognize it... what am i doing wrong?

Just wondering how do you change the firmware file. It is in an folder after it is extracted. How do you convert the file to use it in the jailbreak. Do you just change the file extention to .ipsw or do you have to convert it using a program?

i do all the steps correctly but when i do the reboot while its jailbreaking i dont get the picture like urs where it says "downloading jailbreak data" and after it uploads second stage on my computer it stop at waiting for reboot. what do i do?

if you have a 3gs iphone on 3.3.1 be sure you download 3.0 firmware for 3gs when prompted to browse for isw. the instructions will be a little different on 3gs on booting phone into recovery mode.hope this helps.

after i check the install cydia box and click next i get a totally different screen from yours that tells me to disconnect and reconnect while pressing home then redsn0w crashes....help please??
