Why, why, why don't they do a tour in the USA and not at malls ! We need this talent shared here. Good ! ! Thanks again ! ! ! Maybe it is a money thing.
My youtube experience shows me that Nederlands appreciates the best music on earth more than almost any other land. My compliments to your group & your countrymen ! Added this to the 1927 & Adrian Rollini playlists on my channel. I'm building a music history channel with over 500 playlists so far. My lists feature most genres & cover the globe. 111 lists let you hear the music of any year since 1900 like you've stepped back in time.
Thanks for your beautiful music! Groetjen van Arizona, Chuck
All those shoppers passing obliviously by on missions to buy underwear, socks and bright red whatevers without a glue to what they're missing in life. And so it goes...
I miss playing such awesome music back when I was in highschool.
<3
I just want to say that I might be preaching to the choir here but if you are going to play any kind of music, jazz is the best kind to get you in love with music
@tellmeitsnottaken Places to go, people to see, eh? ;) I would probably to the same, even though I love listening to this kind of music. It's sad, but it's just not something you sit down for on the street.
You guys should try singing the lyrics to this one of these days. Because they're actually quite funny, and even more fun considering that no one else has sung it before on you tube.
Hearing the lyrics for the first time (to a song you never hear sung) is one of those experiences that just have to happen!
I just love this band! I've listened to a number of your videos and keep replaying them. Okay, I confess: I'm trying to grab some licks. I'm a comeback trumpeter, playing again after
MANY years, recently "drafted" into a dixieland band when the previous trumpeter quit. Your videos are a textbook.
I've always loved the bass sax and Adrian Rollini. Mr. B, your playing is terrific. Hell, everyone is terrifc. Hope you're getting all the gigs you deserve.
That "pappnas" must be a wind up merchant,he can't be serious. I've been playing and listening to jazz for 50 years, this is a great unique band, just hope I can get to see 'em in Birmingham later this year.
EXCELLENT MUSIC GUYS!! THANK FOR POSTING THIS GREAT OLD JAZZ! ignore those comments from people who know nothing about jazz...they are just jealous of your talent
How unfortunate that one person "Pappnas" could be born with both no appreciation for good ,make that excellant, jazz, AND a rude personality.... Please feel sorry for him!
Funny to watch people just passing by the band (so original, so skilled), not paying the slightest attention. Most of them may be into rap "music" or such. Oh, well !
Oh yes, respect for people who made years of effort to learn a musical instrument has gone in our country. Sad fact, but maybe the common practice from music coming so easily out of computers has to do with that.
DJ's are much more popular then people who actually can play here. Even more than Rock musicians.
Sad to see that people in Europe can be just as apathetic as in the US. I blame TV. Generations have grown up not knowing how to interact with live performers. Add that to the fact that you are presenting an art form that is old now, and you get apathy I'm afraid.
I try to draw them in with a bit of entertainment and engaging them directly.
Apathy like this is why performers turn to drugs, and why it is important for musicians to find their satisfaction from within.
Hello James, it's a good thing to notice that young people like you enjoy it to hear our music. Thanks for visiting and also for subscribing. Hope you will come back to visit our other videos as well. We visited the UK only once, in 1999 when we played the Birmingham Jazz Festival
I'm amazed that the audience just wanders by with hardly a glance, while there is some great playing going on under their noses! Holland still seems to be providing us with some plenty of jazz; long may it continue!
BRAVO ! ! ! !

This style of music has nearly disappeared in the US and yet that is where it originated.

This is playing jazz. Out on the street. Taking it to the people. I would love to come over there and see you live.

I think the money is not the problem.
The band would love to play in the USA. However they need an agent in the USA who is willing to organise things there.

(also im not sure if it can be called the bass sax also, but I'm pretty sure that its called the barry sax)

This is definitly a bass sax, it is bigger than a barry sax. I also have a barry, but prefer bass in the dixieland band.
