Um, I'm not exactly sure. It depends if it's OBC or not. But if THIS IS the one from Canada, and Saskatoon. The actress that played Madame Giry was Nacey Hess.

It wouldn't be from Sakatoon (I live in Lloydminster.) I know that this would have been on the U.S national touor. We had the international tour come to Saskatoon. I didn't see it but I know enouogh to know that. I don't think that John ever played in Saskatoon. I shall have to ask him...

Interesting note: Bruce Winant (Firim) has also done voiceovers for Anime, notably "Record of Lodoss War" as the evil wizard Wagnard. There he exuded a frightening laugh of power and terror; Winant is a very underrated performer. He has an awesome voice and great acting skills. Hearing him as a stuffy opera manager in this clip of Phantom is a hoot.

That bit of music between the bit where the Phantom reads the letter, and 'Prima Donna', is my favourite in the whole musical. I kind of appreciate it more from the movie soundtrack but this is really good too... and of course the 'written' is brilliant because the audience can laugh at it :-)

This is the cast that I saw back in April in Kalamazoo! They were all brillant! The men who played Firmin and Andre were simply amazing. They were so hilarious during the Notes I scene! Thanks for posting! It brings back fond memories. =)

well i just went through all the comments its not my viedo but yes it is deffenitly Kim Stengel as Carlotta i have seen Kim in this role in the 90s when she was Carlotta in Toronto Canada thats ware she made her first opperance as Carlotta and as just befor it left she was offered the role in the touring company for when it it closed in Canada

yes it is Kim she was acualy Carlotta in toronto Canada back in the 90s and just befor it left she got offered the role in the touring company so when it phantom closed in Toronto Canada she would have the role of Carlotta the next day in the touring company i notest no one responded to your question so i thought i would lol and for sure it is Kim Stengel i saw her many times she is 1 of the best isnt she? any way have a nice day
