i'd rather have jake peavy or halladay. johans good but i could sense a decline in his performance. the last couple of years, hes been i little above average. hes not that great anymore. i hope he is like a carlos beltran and his only decent first year is a fluke but then comes back as the leader of the team
Johan's had a lead in the 7th inning or later 6 times, and the bullpen blew it. Johan always gives the Mets a chance to win, he's everything I hoped he would have been for the mets. Does he pitch no hitters? no. But be realistic, even if he is declining, you don't think he's still great. Look at the whole picture, he's doing great. He pitches at least 8 innings almost every outing. I'll admit Halladay has a rubber arm, but I'm happy with Johan.
He's in my team now until his retirement. When he's in the Hall of Fame he will be remembered for a New York Met. No one will ever know he was a Twin HAHA.

im a mets fan but in a way im kinda sad. i remember when piazza went to the padres. it sucks. the mets went through transformation like this in 04 to 05 wen beltran and pedro got signed and wright and reyes were coming up and yet the mets were trading away jason phillips todd zeile and all those guys, that i knew as the mets. for the whole year i was like, these arent really the mets. thats what the twins are doin and hopefully it works out as well for the twins as it did for the mets
Being from a suburb of the TWIN cities, I had the opportunity to seem him pitch. Theres no other player in th League, with the exception of Albert Pujols that can change a team more. He's truly blessed as a person and a pitcher, He's a leader, and class on and off the field. Also, 2 Cy Youngs shows his talent. Good Luck Mets and Twins!

As a Mets fan, I'm extremely happy that they got him. But I feel your pain Minnesota, losing Hunter and Santana within months. But you did get some really good prospects, so don't assume Minnesota is doomed. The Twins still have Liriano and Delmon Young to replace them respectively. Gomez can replace Rondell White and don't forget you still have Mauer, Morneau, Nathan(Highest SV avg. since '02 I believe). I think it's unsportsmanlike to say the twins are stupid. For most of you ignorant blabber who say that the mets gave up shit for him that is not true. We have seen Carlos Gomez and Philip Humber play and beleive me they are goood. Especially Gomez. Befor ehe was injured he was faster than Jose Reyes. He was timed less from home to first. Great Player. Yes, it is sort of a lopsided trade but no respect to Johan he is the best pitcher in the majors, we gave Minnesota some pretty good guys. Thanks Minnesota, Good luck.
We, Mets fans, the respectable ones at least, realize how much he meant to the Twins organization and the fans. We are ecstatic because he's coined the term "best pitcher in baseball," but we really never seen him pitch in person and my understanding from reading blogs and forums, that no one knows how good he really is unless you are a twins fan.
