What's so wrong with the mural. Not every person get the privledge to have a mural of himself painted for public view. That pessimistic view was the very essence of Joe's soul. Look past the accepted view and think positive.
i used to pass by this mural every day on the way to work. I love the clash and I hate this horrible rendition of Joe. It looks nothing like him!! Also this "cover" is making my ears bleed. Thank god I don't work in the lower east side anymore.
Why somber? No dis to the singer but I'm not down for it and at the same time, this ain't the blues. Galvanize!! Revolt did the tribute piece, I think.
what's called a bass, guitar and drumkit? hmmmm [tick tock] is it a bass, guitar and drumkit? yes? so whats called an apple? an apple, right thanks, now i feel thoroughly educated enough to tie my shoelaces
so fucking beutiful! i whanna thanks the guys who made this graffity and the one who did do this movei i say like davidwatts1978 joe would be proud! r.i.p //jesper klaréus
This is the Jesse Malin cover version and, frankly, it kicks ass. His version of of "Help us" (Neil Young) or "Oliver's Army" (Elvis Costello) are also worth checking out
This is not billie Joe armstrong.
It's Jesse Malin!

that first verse is so well written. Joe had a way to describe the pulse of despair. His words opened up a possibilty of hope

shows you the melody of this song.

Not a fan of the cover.
Pretty strange voice too.
But the focus of the video, the mural brought a tear to my eye.
Great tribute to a greater man.

It's legal graffiti... and some of the best I've ever seen (other than Portland Maine's mural of chaos)

Agreed, I understand why you used it (the mural is outside Jesse Malin's cafe), but it's pretty awful.
