No. The new Slim uses a 65nm chipset creating much less heat, meaning the system doesn't have to give a lot of other power to other system components, making it work harder, also it's USB powered so it works much cooler because a USB does not require much power, and it stays on when the system is off.
i remember the old intercooler that plugged into the system didnt work well because it used the systems power making the system work harder. do you think this will have the same problem? beause when nyko found out the system powered intercooler wasnt working, they mad the tempsmart which was plugged into an outlet.
I'm not sure what you mean. If you mean do I like it even though it's USB powered then, yes. It's good because even when the XBOX is off it will still cool. Also being USB powered eliminates some clutter from an outlet, it also makes the Intercooler look like a piece of the XBOX
Try plugging it in to another USb port. If it still don't work take it back, get a new one off the back of the rack, it's been handled less.
