I did this today, and as soon as I started spinning, it made a loud buzzing noise, like I was jamming it or something, anybody know anything about that? I hopped off right quick, thought I'd have to replace the fucking thing all together.

@TheOriginalBigO the buzzing sound is a safety feature. sounds like a handrail monitor speed error (there are sensors inside the unit to monitor the speed of the handrail left and right side.if the handrail is slipping or badly damaged the unit shuts down depending on how long the duration is or how many times the error occurs .it also depends how sensitive the sensors are , the manufacture and how old the unit is.newer units are computer controlled with many more safety sensors and switches.

@hooves333 I tried it the other day, and after a couple of spins I fell down the middle in an awkward position, got stuck for little while and did my groin in! My mate couldn't stop laughing. Don't try this on escalators with too big a gap between them. You've been warned!
