  • Its pretty much well known and documented that Chuck Norris fought Andre and won.

  • "On an episode of WWE's Legends of Wrestling, Mike Graham claimed that André once drank 197 16-ounce beers in one sitting" they also claimed he was 7'4-7'5 and weighed 540-550 lbs... which was his billed weight and height(he was listed 6'10 before he came to wwf) and ofcourse the claimed beer drinking is billed too

  • That's a big guy.

  • a siver dollar through his ring? good one, good one. that is 38mm folks

  • So the guy drinking 100 beers in a night is the designated driver?

    Hmm ok....

  • Yeah think of the size of him. He would have a MASSIVE!!! liver probably 3-4 times as big as normal. His organs could handle that about of drink easy. My father has gigantism....look up google for gigantism and drinking ability. Its Legendary

  • @bigbillbob88 just curious. how big is your father?

  • @docdoom187 He is 7ft 2 which is large however for someone with gigantism its fairly average. There is a village near by where we live that have had 8 people over 7ft in the last 50 years. 3 were brothers all 7ft 2+. Also there is one still alive today who is 7ft naturally.

  • HE DIDNT HAVE GIGANTISM!!!!! he had acromegaly. gigantism starts at a young age with increased growth hormone where you would begin seeing signs of largeness at a young age. acromegaly is where u never stop growing. he continued to grow until he died. he was a normal sized kid he just never stopped growing.

  • Acromegaly is similar to gigantism but the body never stops growing. The bones grow thicker eventually the hands, forehead, and feet get astronomically large. Sadly with this disease the weight of the skeletal system gets so massive the spine, and knees end up getting badly damaged. Congestive heart failure is usually the cause of death in a patient with this illness. God bless anyone who suffers from this condition..

  • not even stone cold steve austin can win a beer competition again andre.....

  • did he say hwisky?

  • Note to self: You will fail at a drinking competition against Andre the Giant to the point where he will wake up the next morning alert and ready for the day, while you're dead corpse in the morning will be sent to the nearest mortuary

  • andre the giant was 57 foot tall and could fly

  • I weigh 240 pounds and im 15 years old and i can run a mile in 9 minutes.

  • @jackassrenactor307 so? i am 318 and i could beat your ass john cena

  • @jackassrenactor307 Oh, we got a badass over here!

  • he was very strong considering he didnt train with weights or do or need steroids

  • @tpspyn He's a giant! When you're a giant you don't have to work out a lot with weights or do steroids, because its not necessary.

  • imagine how much he pissed holy shit

  • i wonder whether he was stronger than brian shaw the current arnold strongman champion, he is 6'8" and 430lbs and can deadlift over 1000lbs

  • @1unitedtillidie i doubt he was very strong :<

  • @XenatR Are you kidding?! Andre rolled over a car with a couple of guys in it that pissed him off once, not as a part of a wrestling show but on the street outside of a restaurant.

  • @BradNC11175 Sounds like Andre was pissed off LOL. Thing is, Andre didn't have world class strongman level strength. I think that's what XenatR means by "very strong". Then again, Andre didn't train to make his body stronger than what it was. Has there ever been someone near Andre's size who actually did good in strongman and powerlifting events? I can't think of anyone. They never seem to be "giants". Big guys, yes, but not giant sized. Brian Shaw seems to be the closest to that.

  • @docdoom187 Shorter guys tend to do better in those strong man competitions because they have a lower center of gravity and don't have to extend their limbs as far on the push. But when your 7'4" your bones are bigger and heavier so you need bigger & stronger muscles to function than lets say a 6 footer. Andre had a natural weight & leverage advantage to aid him in feets of strength as well due to his size. I grew up around Matthews and yeah in the 80s a lot of NWA "rasslers" lived around there.

  • @BradNC11175 oh, and i'm guessing you're from North Carolina? I happen to live not too far from Ellerbe, where Andre lived. Mom and aunt were childhood friends with the Junkyard Dog, and I went to school with his daughter. TONS of wrestling-related stuff connected to NC. and speaking of Brian Shaw, he won the 2011 strongman event that was held in Wingate. Just happened to be about a 30 min. drive from where i am.

  • @docdoom187 My sister went to high school with "Gold Dust" and she used to see Dusty Rhodes at all the football games because Dustin played there. Dusty would often get drunk and cuss at Dustin and coaches. A friend of mine used to deliver pizzas to Robert Gibson who always tipped him with weed lol. I'd see Ric Flair waiting with his daughter on the school bus from time to time. Magnum TA wrecked right in front of my school and I recall seeing that crash sight the next day on the way to school.

  • @docdoom187 Seeing Ric Flair waiting with his daughter on the school bus was a trip to me. I was in junior high at the time and his daughter was in elementry school and most mornings our bus went through shortly before hers. I was used to seeing him in those fancy robes on tv and hooting and hollaring and there he was with his little daughter sipping coffee in a bath robe & slippers ha ha. But the only time I was ever "star struck" was when I saw Road Warrior Animal trying on shoes. I loved LOD!

  • @BradNC11175 LOL great stories! I would like to hear what a drunk and mad Dusty Rhodes would sound like. But that Magnum TA incident was really messed up. Speaking of Ric, an uncle of mine saw him at a restaurant and he walked over and shook his hand. But yeah, LOD was great. Pretty much the best tag team in history. Totally dominant no matter what country they wrestled in. Nikita Koloff came thru Wadesboro about 10 years ago and I met him in person.

  • @docdoom187 I hear Nikita Koloff is a preacher now, he was one bad ass hombre back in the day. The only wrestler I actually got to meet and have a 2 second conversation with was Arn Anderson. I saw him walking into a Belks once and before that I always thought he was a normal sized guy. I learned how that tv screen will tell lies because thats a big boy there, I wouldn't wanna tangle with him. Yeah losing Magnum so early was a huge tragedy in pro wrestling and 100% right about LOD.

  • @1unitedtillidie No, Andre wasn't that strong. He was naturally huge and had a ton of natural strength, but Andre didn't train his body at all from what I understand. He could get by without doing that. You're talking about someone who is over 400 lbs AND is a highly trained strength athlete. Andre wasn't THAT much bigger than Brian Shaw. Also remember Andre's joints and back were failing him. Shaw's joints and back have to be tremendously strong to deadlift over 1000 lbs.

  • Wheres the "meanwhile in Africa" joke?

  • legend

  • alot of the reason he could drink so much was because of gigantism. The excess growth hormone in his body would help rid his system of the alcohol at an astronimical rate.

  • the amount he drank would kill a normal man

  • @a2ilool Good job detective

  • How do you consider Cognac a dessert? Couldn't they just say he drank after dinner?

  • Whatever...he's dead and his bones could kick your ass!

  • @Derby14 wtih all do respect to your statement, ther creamated him and spreaded his ashes around his farm. But NEVERTHELESS Andre the giant will allways be wrestling true GIANT, LARGER THAN LIFE.

  • @domamania You are absolutely right...I can see how my comment comes across as desrespectful to Andre, which is not what I meant at all. I simply meant it as a rebuke to the idiot who said "I'll *** andre the giant up"

  • the guys grreat! but i reallly feel bad for his toilet he had.....

  • this guy was a legend

  • Is this the reason he passed out?

  • @NumberG17: check out the video response you will find out their.
