@CGuitar2112 - holy crap, i didn't know Sony made one that could handle the volume! almost sounds better than a ZS7 because the panasonic seems to turn the gain down on the microphones and the video volume comes out lower than this seems to be. very nice, but, i still don't like sony's proprietary software hassles associated with their cameras :-( it's also not cheap, but seems to be well worth it for this kind of result!

It does a really nice job of bringing the bass to the forefront though, as it does in this video and the stuff I record of my band playing. I got this one open box at Best Buy for somewhere around 250$ I think, well worth it and I'm glad I did my homework before buying it!

I am already suffering from abstinence and I hope to see them again in the future, even if I have to go all the way up to canada or the states. incidentally, I love prs guitars too and proudly own one. although I get why alex favors les pauls (I suppose 'cause they sound pretty rich, nice and thick tone very beffiting for most rush songs), I also feel that the bright sound of the prs guitars suit some tunes like time stand still.
