Hi, I just got a female Budgie I named "Bella". She's sweet and so very calm considering. She was not tame yet allowed me on the FIRST day to rub her belly as she sat in her cage (perched). Since then, 2 weeks now, I put my hand in the cage a couple times a day at least and she allows me to feed her millet by hand. Today for the first time she stepped up. But she's still a little skidish. How do I continue to build a bonding relationship where I can take her out of the cage?
I love all of lil birdies, there so adorable and beautiful. i have 2 budgies at the moment. i cant quite make it out weather one of them is a boy or a girl. he has a light blue and green cere, with white nostrils. the pet shop told me that he was a boy and so did the vets. but im still not quite sure. i cant really afford a dna test so i dont really know what to do. -.- his names yoshi by the way. X
the things were ther nostrils are above the beak if it is a male its generally blue female as in the video a pinkish browniish color :) i cant wait untill i get my parakeets

I love your birds! How can you tell the difference between a female and a male?

@LeoBurns728 Males have Blue ceres while the females have brown or pink(ish) ceres. (that spot that surrounds their nostrils).
