In the U.S. if someone is trained and liscensed in CPR and they perform CPR on a victim , the victim can sue the CPR giver. For this reason people are reluctant to help in an emergency. If you pull a man from a burning vehichle and in the process of moving him it caused an injury you can be sued. Even with proof the man would have died or been injured worse if you hadn't pulled him out.

Offcause if a car is burning much or you can see you cant survive you self, then you dont have to otherwice you are obligated to try. And if you do life this fellow, you can end up in jail because you let him die. The thing there is making me mad, is that his dont even try and he think of money before life...

Cars explode in movies. If there is a high speed collision, there might be a fireball if the fuel tank rips open. And I haven't seen a single burning car exploding on youtube (with the exception of Gazelle vans). What kind of expert do you think you are?

That means any victim of a motor vehicle accident in the state of Alabama, who isn't already dead, won't be helped by a lay rescuer unless that lay rescuer wants to take a chance on liability for any mistakes.

In the U.S. if someone is trained and liscensed in CPR and they perform CPR on a victim , the victim can sue the CPR giver. For this reason people are reluctant to help in an emergency. If you pull a man from a burning vehichle and in the process of moving him it caused an injury you can be sued. Even with proof the man would have died or been injured worse if you hadn't pulled him out.

In fact, there is a law to render assistance now, If you are able to help and don't, this becomes a liability. @budstone Any CPR classes I have ever taken, this was always told to us as a precaution. True there are some forms of "Good samaritan laws" but this is not a guarantee you can't be sued. Some states the laws only cover licensed caregivers and not just anyone. I'm not saying the guy in the video was right. I think what he did was disgusting. I for one would risk being sued to save a life. Others however would not.
