@ 5:17 No - Clint was right on the money. Just because Sloan was ill doesn't negate the fact that the General wanted a married woman and he went after her. And there is NOTHING admirable about that folks!
I would give ANYTHING for the so-called "boring" marriage that Clint and Viki had. That's what these soaps were about for me - they were a fantasy of what I wished my life, family, relationships, etc. would be... Notice I used the word "were" since the morals on this soap started going into the crapper when they cast the Roger Gordon character. Being disloyal in a marriage/relationship is NOT just limited to physical sex – it can also be in your thoughts. And he is STILL loyal to Viki here!
I know you were a huge V and C fan and I was at one time but I am glad Viki and Clint never got back together. I sort of felt like they had been there done that and in the soap world it would get very boring. I was not a Clint Ritchie fan. My favorite couple was Viki and Ben and I am still wishing Ben would come back from the dead but I don't think that is going to happen because Derwin now has a great role on a very secussful show.
I never liked Sloan and I never forgave OLTL for breaking up my fave Soap Couple of all time (next to Luke and Laura) THE Great Clint and Viki. For me, this was the beginning of the end of OLTL. However, this story did lead to the incredible D.I.D. story where we learned the truth about Viki's illness, and of course Erika's performances were PHENOMENAL! She and Robin Strasser kicked arse in this story!
@dereka79 The Roger Gordon BS was almost enough for me to give up on OLTL, and it would have if he wouldn’t have disappeared from Viki’s life and OLTL. I must come from a different era, a different culture, a different time. IDK - Maybe I’m merely trapped in an old world like when Clint went back to the Old West! What’s so wrong about wanting a soap to revolve around values like loyalty, love, marriage, dedication to family, etc. and NOT sex!!!

I too loved Ben and Viki. But I have to say this, Viki gets so steaming mad so rarely that it's always amazing to see Erika let Viki lose her cool.
