Bigsby B5/ Vibramate V5/ Roller Bridge on Gibson SG (Part 2 of 2)

I'm getting an SG and want to put on a bigsby like this. Do I have to get all of these parts? (Bigsby B5,Vibramate V5,and rollerbridge) I want it to be close up like this one. Please reply.

For sure you need B5 and V5! As for the rollerbridge... You don't really need it, see a lot of guitars that comes with the Bigsbys still using the regular bridge not the rollerbridge. However with the rollerbridge, it will help your guitar to stay in tune better after.

@lotoqui Thank you for the quick reply. I've seen other Bigsby b5's on guitars and they were at the bottom of the guitar and it just didn't look right. I like this kind. Thank you for your help.

@lotoqui where did you get all these peaces from? and how much did they all cost? i have the same guitar and would love a bigsby.

You can get the Bigsby from most of the online music store, I got mine from Musician Friend.  I got my rollerbridge & vibermate from WD Music. Forgot the website for WD Music but you can google it. The parts cost me around $400 (can't remember) and the labor cost is around $150 (depend on the tech, really...)

For SG, it is perfect fit. The only thing you need to watch out is which get a regular V5 (the SG has half pickup guard) or the short tail V5 (like the SG I have which has the full pickup guard)

Nice demo. My biggest concern, aside from intonation issues, is if my SG's case

cover will close cleanly without pressing on the Bigsby. Any comments on this?

My SG came only came with a carrying bag and it fits. My LP on the other hand came with a hard case and it fits as well, you can see my other video with LP/Bigsby, I show how the factory case fits the LP//Bigsby. I guess if the LP case fits, maybe the SG case will fit too...

I see that you put the dirty finger in the bridge position pickup, but what do you have in the neck position?

Wow good eyes!! The neck is the factory 490R but I am having it changed to P94R, however it's on back order since last Dec... I need the black chrome cover but for whatever dame reason, they (i.e. everything else) only have cream chrome cover or black gold cover...

It's same settings, except I might have turn up the amp volume from 2.5 to 3.5

Yes the sustain has increase a bit.
