FUNNY ANECDOTE : This is one of my all time favourites. Today as much as it was in 1985 ! I LOVED "Music" but little did I know at the time what John Miles looked like. At The Night of the Proms in Antwerp, though, as a student I was making some money working behind one of the bars. During the concert, I was serving drinks to this really nice English couple. This is music in the grand sense of the word. The pop scene today is only a shadow of the great music that was once written and performed.....This song is so special and the music is just glorious. Not sure the hacks who call themselves performers today have ever heard of a triplet note or know any volume but loud and louder. Today's idea of music is to shock with vulgar and degrading comments. Most singers can not carry a tune, it seems.

Ken Bruce occasionaly plays "Music" after popmaster on Radio 2. It was hearing it on there that I took notice and bought the Rebel album.

I was John Miles first tour manager, Gordon Parry and I introduced him and Cliff Cooper of Orange Music, makers of great sounding amplifiers to Alan Parsons. John recorded Rebel in 3 days. First day Basic tracks, second day overdubs and the third day, mixdown at Abby Road Studios. I was there, it was magic. That was how a great artist recorded.
