@2ombieboy The producer actually states that it's not supposed to be like George Romero's Day of the Dead. The maker of this 'remake' actually said that he wanted to take the zombie idea, combine the fast zombies from the Dawn of the Dead movie remake (still my absolute favorite remake of all time) and make it so this plot's happening when/after the 1985 film plot is happening. They're technically supposed to be either different locations or time periods. Either way, it still sucked :P

Few Reasons why this remake sucks:

1- stiff acting, very.

2- it has very little to do with the original.

3- the effects were terrible, fast forwarding every two seconds especially when a zombie strikes is just plain stupid.

4- the cause and description of the infection.

5- the lack of awesome kill scenes

6- zombies that actually didnt look like zombies, yet changed and decayed within a few seconds

7- nick cannon (whoever thought that he should be in movies is brain dead )

@MetalMakesMeEargasm the original Day of the Dead didn't have the story that zombies just appeared, it is a sequel to night of the living dead 1968 and dawn of the dead 1978. but i agree that the Day remake isn't that bad. at least it was creative and actually had a plot unlike the dawn of the dead remake in which the plot was "there are zombies, we're in a mall, we shoudl leave" dawn remake didnt even have any character develpment. day remake isnt great but it's not that bad either.

well they already had made a night of the living dead in 2006 and a dawn of the dead in 2004 so it makes sense to do that. this is much better than the night 2006 remake and i like it better than the dawn remake. but yeah they only thing about this that is similar is an army bunker and a zombie called Bub who doesnt eat people. it's not a particularly good movie but it's not that bad either. at least the zombies are slow. i've seen worse zombie movies, they exist....trust me.

If the zombie infection spread like the black plague and animals were infected like birds and rats it would be very hard if not impossible to eradicate the infection. My other theory is that if the infection took a few days or even weeks without showing symptoms think about how many people would be infected by the time the symptoms appeared!
