Smart keys have very bad reputation for jamming up, alot of calls i go to one thing i noticed is that every customer that had a jammed kwikset was not using a originally cut key, it was a copy, so i believe using copys that are a lil bit off can cause those wierd pins inside to jump a notch cuasing failure.... fuck you kwikset set and your damn smart keys yea you make us more money but god damn its a bitch to bypass in freezing weather i rather pick it and leave 5 min or less
@leavingreasonmusic as a locksmith let me tell you these locks are crap! Yes, rekeying is easy and very convenient, but the security of the cylinder itself is perhaps the worst I've ever seen. Find yourself a good locksmith through the BBB.

thats cuts alot of headache out of having my 4 exterior doors rekeyed and eliminates letting some locksmith have a key to my house....great idea!
