CBNS 169 - Spina Bifida

i was born with spina bifida occulta and i just found out i have it and im 16 yrs old. but for about 2 yrs ive been havin back pain and i never went to da dr for it and im goin to need physical therapy. its very hard to have diz strong pain everyday :''(

where theres like a tiny hole

about the size of a bellybutton

at the base of my spine

im fine though

im glad i can walk :)

my daughter was born six years ago with an L/S lesion. She wears AFOs to help her walk and is B/B incontinent. She has hydrocephaelus but isn't shunted. Otherwise - it's all systems go. She skates, plays in the local soccer league, rides a bike, goes to school with her sister. I just want other parents to know it's not doom and gloom - despite what some docs and techs may say.
