  • I am very happy to see the vidoe Expressing a vector as the scaled sum of unit vectors after you give this

  • I Love The Video Expressing a vector as the scaled sum of unit vectors It Can Increase My Knowledge

  • Steady I Really Like This Video Expressing a vector as the scaled sum of unit vectors

  • Nice to finally know what Vector is, thanks Mate! :D

  • sweatness i got an A in calc 3 but never really new what the i j and k were i was just like O u just put them there lol but now i knowwwww :)

  • thank you sal! I wish you could teach every one of my classes!!

  • I love you Khan... you keep me from being confused one semester after another.

  • Sal, ur the best

  • khan rocksssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Hate when you click on the wrong video, and watch it anyways because Khan just makes every topic so interesting.

  • 1....0.... oh what am i talking about i must have been writing in arabic. lol that made my day XD

  • He makes this more clear then a crystal Pepsi.

  • thank you this is a really good instruction for us to know more about vector.

i like the way he taught.

  • you're a boss.

  • thanks! this will help my tomorrow quiz! xD

  • sal! you should do examples of river crossing, you are amazing at physics.

  • How do you find the magnitude of the vector?

  • @C4CJW

its just the length, so the magnitude of a velocity is just its speed.

  • awesome, thanks

  • well.. hard question

  • You r awesome man! Thank you so much!

  • U just awesome :D

    I learned a lotttttt.

    I love phy now .

  • Thank you so much.

But I have a question, what if a problem doesn't give you the degrees of an angle for a vector.

If it makes my question any clearer, here's the problem:

    If x = 2.00 N S of W and y = 3.00 N, 10 degrees N of W then find x plus y

  • @ToastFroEva hey ! i dont know if u solve this problem but when they say "2N south of west" that means that u i'll take exactly 45 degrees.. as an angle..

  • Dude, this really helped me. I went through Electrical Engineering at UT Austin and didn't know what unit vectors were for. THANKS!

  • can anyone explain to me why V=Vx+Vy? I'm confused cuz I thought V should be the square root of Vx squared plus Vy Squared according to pythagorean rules.. Thanx :)

  • V=Vx+Vy where V, Vx, and Vy are vectors. True. This is because of the rules for vector addition. |v|=sqrt ( |Vx|^2 + |Vy|^2) where |v|, |Vx| and |Vy| are distances, or the lengths of the vectors. This is because of pythagorean theorm.

  • I thought that when you factor vectors, victor, you create a new vector; resulting in a three dimensional figure.

  • because its V is for Vectors its the distance from the starting point to the end but with coordinates. Its different from the Pythagorean theorem

  • cud u plz upload a video related to the topic unit vector in cartesian coordinate system

  • afernoon??:S:S

    its morning :L:L

  • I echo everyone's sentiments. You are very clear. Thank you. I will give you your 99 cents when I'm not on my work computer... well worth it.

  • You are awesome. Thanks a bunch for your very helpful videos. I wish my physics teacher could explain things half as well as you can--no fault of his though, people have different talents. Anyway, thanks!

  • Oh man, thank you so much, extremely useful, you are a skilled teacher! Thank you again.

  • 2:30 lol. Mate English is the one thats backwards. Haha thanks for the video :) Very useful

  • Thank u so much, u are doing a wonderful job. I'm taking physics 2 and cal2. I never liked unit vectors, 'cuz they would confuse me more. But now I know why we have those little thingies, thanks to u

  • Thank you sooooooooo much.

  • utube policy.... try uploading a video bigger than 10 minutes...and u'll understand..

  • Thank you so much.

  • Great Video, Really useful for my Maths Alevel here in england, thanks!
