  • Wonderful video. Can u tell me what progrme u used. I wld luv 2 make a similar video 4 my family reunion. It wld get a good chuckle. Thank u

  • @free2drm I used Adobe premiere to construct the video. You could use any video editing software as long as it enables you to use key frames. You need to use key frames so that you can create the effect of three sliding images on the screen at one time at the start of the video i.e. before the characters are introduced.

  • The first part is excellent, particularly putting the new Wembley in where Texas Stadium (rest in pieces, what a dump it was) would go. But then... I was expecting to see various members of the royal family. Throw alphabetical order out the window, The Queen replaces Barbara Bel Geddes, and it could have been "Charles Wales," "Andrew York," etc... But... your family? You know who they are, but the rest of us don't. It's a great idea, only half-well executed.

  • @UncleMikeNJ Jeepers Uncle Mike, you're a hard taskmaster! You do realise that is the Queen who's driving at the very end. She wanted to be in the movie but the rest of her family didn't so I had to use mine. I don't know if you're a fan of the Mary Tyler Moore show but you may like the adaptation that I posted on You Tube of that recently. It was shot in Bahrain (middle east). A far cry from the streets of Minnaepolis. Excuse the spelling.

  • Actually, the queen would have it done by the BBC-public tv is a much bigger and higher quality enterprise outside of the US.

  • FUCKING EXCELLENT WORK!!!! WHOA!!!!

  • Was that the queen driving the jaguar at the end?

  • This is still as terrible as ever. I imagine you're a fan of the Royals, then?

  • @frasierfreak92 Everyone else that has commented says otherwise. And no I'm not huge fan of the royals. I just happened to live very close to Windsor for a number of years.

  • very cool

  • The epitome of Dallas intro title recreation! I've gotta have a crack at it sometime.

  • I used to Adobe Premiere video editing software to create the video. I created a template so that I could easily replace location and cast as I please. The trick is to use keyframes so that the illusion of the sliding images are the same as that on the original Dallas TV series.

  • excuse me..an answer...What s the software you can translate the original opening credits of Dallas into what you like(with your images)?

  • Love it Love! Used to live in England years ago and glad to see some of the sights that are so cool about that country again.

  • OMG this is so well done - love it!

  • Good work. It's a fun video.

  • This is really well done.

  • Great job editing this. Would you be inclined to spill the beans on what software/hardware was used in putting this together?

  • I'm glad to see someone else did the sliding panels in the beginning correctly. And also it's not clips from a tv show.

  • I'm glad you liked. A lot of time and effort went into the movie.

  • I was going to respond with the video I made of my vacation but it's not showing up in the list.

Please, come on over and check it out. Just search for Pennsic 38 in the title.

  • Genius. Pure Genius.

If anything, the end could be improved by being given a little more "scale" like the original - a fly-by up to Windsor Castle, perhaps.

However, let that not detract from the fact that not only is it technically brilliant and faithful to the original series (of which I was and am a huge fan), but it is just a superb advert for all that is Great about Britain.

    Cheers.

  • Thanks for your comments. You are of course correct about the ending but I couldn't resist keeping the shot of the Queen driving behind the wheel. It's not every day that you can get that close to her.

  • @stevenbissett It's not often you see the Majesty herself driving around the countryside.

  • @stevenbissett This is frickin' awesome. Also, you are dashingly handsome, Sir. If you are not othwerwise seeing anyone, care to civil partnership together?

  • @1104882221 Thanks but no thanks.

  • @stevenbissett

    Impressive Mr Bissett.

Stop fucking about with your bullshitting about rugby and wanting to meet people.

With your imagination you should be making videos for kids.

Brave of you to turn down the gay offer of a civil partnership.

Who knows how long you will have to wait for another offer.

No matter, well done just the same.

    love Charlie _๘' >)

  • @skittification I'm glad you enjoyed the video.

  • @stevenbissett

thanks, it was a genuine comment

  • Awful, Just Awful, Mine Is Better

  • Dude - you use stills rather than video. That's just embarrasing.

  • for everything else I use video, for that it was for a friend who wanted something simple, he had never seen Dallas in his life, but he enjoyed it because I took 3 days putting it together for him. Making sure everything worked the way it was meant to. And I didn't feel the need to spam everyone's videos to tell them to watch it.

    -John

  • LOL...you got pwnd. but granted...you gotta have guts to come here and say yours is better. that is ridiculous. yours is like a slideshow with music....

  • This is great for a british version. Someone would probably drop their jaw seeing the opposite side of the road being used if they didn't know.

  • Your wrong the Queen mother was the one who loved Dallas not Queen Elizibeth II. Sorry to burst your bubble.

  • BRILLIANT, well done, BRILLILANT, I loved it.

  • Cool!

  • Wow! Really well done! : D

  • I laughed that much I peeed myself just a little. I have never seen Windsor in that light!! (Yes I am from London!!)

  • Very cool, I liked it a lot. Kinda makes me want to visit Windsor.

  • Love it. Really done well, but I can't believe the Queen rides shotgun!!

  • Very nice! I like yours better!

  • What program did you use to make this?

  • Adobe premiere pro.

  • Can you please make a tutorial on how you made it?

  • Good job !

  • Glad you liked it.

  • Yes, good vid, but please don't spam on my videos again, you can be reported you know, for illegal advertising.

  • Sorry. I've just seen so many people try the same thing on youtube. I thought they might like to get as close to the real thing as I did. It's great fun putting your friends in as stars. It brings a smile to their faces.

  • I suppose loads of people do it! I know it's fun making vids like this!

  • If anyone would like the template I have made for Dallas I can send you it for a small price. I spent literally hours making this and it is close to the original version as you can get.
