You make it looks so easy. I'm 15 and I just got my first violin the other for christmas. any advice on learning, and how long did it take you to get this good?

Well thanks :P I started when i was 8 years old and i was in an intesive music programm at school, doing at least 10 hours a week. When i got to high school, i continued one year with a teacher one hour a week and after that i continued on my own.

But if you want any advice, i would say that you have to enjoy playing. i hated to practice, but one day, i realised that i had to do it for myself and i had to enjoy it. since then, i play because i like to and because i'm not forced. enjoy:)
