@crazykidkieran I download torrents on mine, I don't know about itunes but there are several music download apps. As far as an external hard drive, there is no usb - but it does have a micro SD chip slot that supports up to a 32gb chip. That's a lot of music and movies.

I bought galaxy tab GT 1000 serial No 352961048338203 warranty card No 1679390 from Dubai duty free. It has started malfunctioning within a week. When I switch it on its vibrator start vibrating and nothing appear on the screen. Sometimes the screen gets ON but it doesn’t respond and slowly blurt sometimes when I want to switch it off it does not respond. Now it’s totally dead and only the four factions’ lights in the bottom blinks

I got one of these for christmas when I went to Hong Kong :D (Not a fake one btw, as you all might think) it works great and all and I've even made a few phone calls with it and brought some apps but how do you update it? That's the only problem I have with it, is that I don't know how to update it...

why would anybody want or need that? its too big to carry around in your pocket and its too small to watch movies or actualy work on it. I still can't see whats the use of this on ipad. I have smartphone which i use for emails, music and sometimes very rarely for games while travelling by bus or train, also calls and sms and calulator etc. and would also need a laptop if i wanna work on the move, to work with word of excel documents or if i want to watch a movie then still use laptop.

iPad = no flash websites, no TV, no phone, no camera, no subtitles support for video.

Galaxy Tab = flash websites, Digital and Analogic TV Tuner and Record function(Brazilian version at least), 3G and GSM phone, 2 cameras, subtitles support( .srt).

Just search for "TV Digital e analógica no Galaxy Tab" and you will find a video here on youtube...noob...you don't have digital TV Tuner for the American version because US' digital tv system for mobile sucks ....ATSC sucks....do your homework.

Subtitles works too and you are able to "show or hide" as you wish.

I am sorry if the American version is so cripped....

Ridiculous to say the least. I don't know what domestic options you have when it comes to the tablet market. Let me know if there is any.

Eike Batista, a Brazilian entrepreneur, the 7th richest man in the world, said on Tweeter he wants to see iPad made and assembled in Brazil too. Just to make it cheaper.

He is talking with the Chinese who makes the iPad's parts and components to bring the factory here in Brazil. He will eventually talk with Apple of course. I am not sure how big the tablet market here will be.

Great looking Tablet, pretty much an massive version of my phone HTC Desire.

I tablet would have to be about 10" though for me to really consider buying one, thats when it stops being a massive phone and being a touch screen laptop
