Hey, this worked exactly how I wanted it to. I'm using an old ipod nano from back in the day. One thing though; you probably should drag and drop the files to your disk drive and then upload folder to itunes. If you do not then you have to have your ipod plugged in to hear the songs. this worked for me using my iPod nano 4Th gen and not needed for my itouch. got my itouch to sync automatically so any songs on it when plugged in to my computer go from it onto comp and then resync's

I did this baaaack in the days when the ipod first came out and i remembered i copied it to my hard drive and then had to pay $10 to rename all the folders to the song name title etc cause all the files say "GDYW or KWSN" etc.. So if i just drag it into my itunes will it automatically rename my files back to the original artist and title of song?

@mollafergalous the reason you're probably finding this is because you have tried to put the files straight into intunes, if you save all the files from the ipdo to a folder somewhere in your computer then transfer them to itunes after that it should work for you

okay i know the problem your having... you transfered the songs to a particular folder that itunes has not located yet. if you re watch the video it tells you to place them in a music folder. the reason the names are so weird is because itunes has a special way of naming and incoding the songs it's own way. if you notice, when added to itunes the song names change to normal.

there is also a quicker way

select on all the F01, F02, F03's all the way to F87 or how ever many folders you have.

you then right click them and go into properties and uncheck ot untick the hidden button if you want to transfer all your stuff as quick as possible then i suggest doing this.

I found I needed to create a new folder (on my desktop) and copy the music from my iPod into that folder first. Then from iTunes, click import file (chose the new folder) and BAM! There they are. I wouldnt have been able to do this without your info first man. Thanks.
