I think her vocals are amazing and she does have range when she needs to have it, I just think she's not out to prove to be a power house vocalist like Mariah, Jennifer Hudson. Where she lacks in vocal range, she makes up in dance. She has never claimed to be a power house diva, just an all around entertainer, and even Mariah could not do what Janet does on stage in relation to dancing, whereas Janet can sing and dance (performance wise).

I agree, Janet should have never involved business with pleasure with having Jermaine come in, he hasn't been successful as solo artist and I will admit he gave Mariah a number one cd, but when it comes to Miss Jackson it seems as though she allowed her emotional feelings for him take away the magic she has with Jimmy Jam. Also, it seemed that her dancing although is excellent, it seemed she was bit off when she was with Jermaine, just as Britney was when she was with Kevin Federline.

Although, Jermaine was her MUSE sort of speak....she was suppose to do a World Tour during that album, but had horrible media backlash b/c of "Superbowl-Nipple-Wardrobe Malfunction"...lol.
