We had to do a video audition that included a short exerpt they gave us to learn we had to do play while marching in a box pattern they set guidelines too. There was also a portion in which we had to play a prepared solo. It was all well worth it!

OMG i this was sooo much fun!! and amzingly awesome experience!! :D and the dance was so funny to learn, the directors actually can walk it out LOL

Sounds like an exciting experience! My only question is, why does one of the best (I'm guessing /the/ best) american marching band represent the army? :/

I really would like to join the army band. Is it difficult to pass through the auditions? I'm not that good in sight reading. Please reply. Oh, BTW I'm in college, I play the clarinet and I'm 17 years old.
