i will do some work with him on saturday if you want and explain more, its just i know how to handle horses liek this and doing things like feeding him next to the jump will help, horses kind of see scary things like predators, ready to attack , so by just standing next to one will teach him they are not going to goble him up, hard to explain, but it will work! hahaha
continued.. i think you should take him in the arena with jumps set up like that and just sit there (on or off ,preferably off at first) and just stroke him, feed him next to a jump and do little games like follow the leader and playing with him, really getting him to relax, walking on poles on the ground ,and de-sensitize him (throwing beach balls over his head and plastic bags on the end of a stick) so he really gets to trust you, then do somethings like that ridden will really help, trust me!
mati you handled that first stop really well! i think you should get some lessons off mum with him i think it would do you both the world of good, he is abit like april in the speed sense but more consistent than her you can kind of see whats coming with him whereas april will go from snail to cheetah in 0.5 seconds haaha, erm he looks more scared of the jump and by going on what i know he has been put through pain or forcing on / into the jump like april but she is not scared of it like him...
Amazing video ;) star rate :)
