The price? Wasn't Mr Lydon fund-raising for the soon-to-come album? If so, surely he was aiming the book at anybody silly enough to pay that much? Anyway, Johhny's a light in the darkness to me. Wait for the new album before you try to say he's past it. Actually, even if the new songs are shit, his live shows are testament to a great artist.

If you want to read a well written, funny, and honest account of the PiL era thats £439 cheaper then read Jah Wobble's book. Wobble lives in the real world and doesn't reinvent the past, unlike Mr Lydon.

I've followed him since the Pistols, through PIL (Wobble/Levene) and his sad solo career. Good stand up comedian, but without whom I'd have never been in a band and do my own music. But it has to be admitted, leave the bar now.........

Musicians are about music and creativity in the main all the other nonsense is largely pointless, bullshit or just a money making process. He does a lot of 'charity' work for all we know a large part of the book price will go towards something of this nature. But he tends to keep his personal life very secret....like most of us. No idols mate.
