Oh, a real classic! I remember playing this game at an arcade in the Bay Area circa 1989 and feeling sick from eating too many hot dogs and praying I wouldn't vomit. The game actually seemed to help!
A friend and I were playing this at a Circle K Quick Stop when two teenage guys came up and told us to let them have a round at it, on our quarter, and they'd get us far.
Without dying and barely taking any damage, they beat the game for us. We were AWED.
@DD2225 you should have seen if they could have beat Donkey Kong on just one quarter. ..bet them a round of beers if they can do it. (hint: its extremely hard, donkey kong is regarded as the worlds most difficult arcade game-hands down. )
@mireaux7 they went belly up, and some of their titles were acquired by a japanese company called G-Mode. Unfortunately, the fate of licensed titles such as Robocop and Capt. America and the Avengers are unknown to this day.
The music and sounds on these youtube uploads of games just completely take me back to being in an arcade in the late 80s. Well done to everyone on here who goes to the trouble of bringing out childhood memories back!

I played for like 15 mins before the owner decided I probably shouldn't be there and kicked me out.
Needless to say I felt pretty damn cool that day.

after the video game developer Data East went bankrupt in 2003
the rights to the Capt America arcade game went back to Marvel
rights to the RoboCop arcade games went back to Orion Pictures
