Actually both the Wii and PS2 versions do use the same game engine as Most Wanted/Carbon though while the PS3/Xbox 360 and PC versions uses a different engine.

Actually to get this car you have to beat the Take down Nickel mission while the take down Hector mission unlocks the Mustang GT, and the take down G-Mac mission unlocks the 911 GT2 police car.
