"427" refers to the size of the engine in cubic inches..in other words it's a 6.997 or a 7.0l engine when you do the math to convert it( 61.0237Cubic inches in one liter)

@TacticalGA Kids these days dont understand anything about CID only in Liters. Example, 302 built by both Chevrolet and Ford is a 5.0L Engine- High Output that is. Chevy later made the 305 which is a 5.0L (Bore and Stroke Come into play) People take 350's (5.7L) and convert them to 383s yet there is no physical change in block size. 4.3L V6 (75% of the 350) is 262, GM had a 4.3L V8 which is the 265. 454 is the 7.4L. GM use the 327(5.3L) in the Trucks these days.

This is such a sweet truck! I have the '03 version. But I would never own a truck that isn't four wheel drive...I just don't see the point; might as well just buy a car. If they bring it back I sure hope it has an option for four wheel drive or one like mine, AWD. Plus sales would go up for the vehicle with the 4x4 or AWD option. But regardless, nice nice nice truck.
