  • Where's John Lennon when you need him.

  • I don't think the Soviets had much to do with the Korean War. I think Stalin to North Korea said something like "You can invade the South if you want but don't expect us to bail you out if you get in trouble." It was more Mao's doing. And he only sent troops in when it looked like the US would reach the Chinese border.

  • glory to the french army fighting against communist monsters

  • @vladimir2147 , you're crying for the fucking French loser lolz

  • @ChinaChinese the only losers are the internet cowards losers like you! were you in this battle? no, so have a bit af respect if you are a man

  • @vladimir2147 , i'm a man,and you're a dirty dog who cry for the French losers

  • @TheOdelayhomes69 I agree with a lot of what you wrote. After all that bloodshed and expese the Soviet Union faded away peacefully, and Nike now uses Vietnam as a source of cheap labor. Alice in Wonderland seems more real by comparison .

  • Battlefield Vietnam never had this cut scene in it. Also the CAR 15 was overpowered

  • Amazing videos... NO actors, real fighting , dying and victories for all sides! But.. as always American tax payers must dish out fr their pockets to pay the bills.

  • good history of Vietnam, the best I've seen yet in my life.

  • when does the gameplay begin im 6 minutes in

  • @NerfSoldier2010 sorry there is no gameplay

  • The author of this video is a complete filthy liar turd. Vietnam turned to Soviet and China for help AFTER the imperialist U.S refused to help Ho Chi Minh to kick the colonialist French out. Mater of fact, the U.S helped the french to colonize/occupy VN. Ho Chi Minh was then became infuriated with the U.S and that's when he turned to Soviet and China.

Thenemeziss200, stop the filthy lame scam propaganda. It may work 20, 30 yrs ago but now is 2011, you dirty rat will be exposed and flush out

  • u damn commies: had enough!!!! USSR, Cuba, Vietnam east europe or North Korea.....so????? all failed.......Stalin or Kim Mir Sen...bunch of brutal killers who ruleed like rippers......why more than 1 millions left in 1975 Vietnam?????? ......compere even not ideal democracy of US or UK to red commies ???????

How u even dare??????? ask them.....they left Vietnam and live in US but their brothers live poor life still somewhere near Sajgon.......communism lost all over the world.

  • @TheGDLuk

Uh huh, it lsot all over the world. Tell that China. Or Vietnam, for that matter, givne that the country today is one of the fastest growing and most prosperous in all of South-East Asia.

  • @Magni56 It's because communism does not work in Asian countries in SE Asia, China, and Korea. These Asian countries mentioned along with Japan have historically always been capitalistic countries. That's why the Dutch, Portuguese/Italians, Arabs, and Asian Indians traveled and traded in the Far East during the age of exploration because there were a lot of riches there. Communism only works in Jewish communities called kibbutz. Check this vid out in youtube:

  • Battlefield Vietnam was the best series ever done on that war, simply because it reported the facts and eschewed preachy judgmentalism.

  • beautiful synth music!

  • Less history lectures, more battlefield Vietnam game play!

  • Boring series with stock footage (from where-ever whenever), bad audio dubs and extremely annoying synth music.

  • man, Vietnamese are tough. They have my respect from Cuba.

  • great crappy synth music

  • For fucks sakes aren't the most unfree people in the united states? With 10 zillion rules (designed by the rich to keep the poor nice and goddamned confused) flying around in the psychic aero-drama-drome? Is it enough to not only assume but stand steadfast in the belief that everythings ok? Maybe MF's... maybe. To believe in a thing brings it into being. Im gonna give it a shot (again) and will report back dutifully.

  • @zintoit No actually republicans want to keep the rich rich and the poor poor. We have a democrat for president....

  • Dont think for one minute I dont know that the red stripes in the u.s. flag don't stand for blood "poured out like water on the ground and licked up by dogs". (the george bush's plural kind of dog) Hence, problems arise when young, and dumb, american soldiers die for dollars as opposed to, say, essential freedom/s. I swear to fucking god!

  • Heres a little poem I wrote y'all. Gee dontcha wanna be a saudi arab king. Pay some poor bastard jews a few oil dollars and in return you get the u.s. navy, air force... army and marines. They'll clean your toilet and stand outside your door, protect you from the devil, they just charge a little more. So HELL YES... I wanna be a saudi arab king. When I climb out of that learjet people gonna say.. wow.. what a peach. And I'm gonna laugh my way to the bank cause Im carrying your MO' NEY.

  • The whole world sucks, so lets blow it up XD

  • there some filipino soldiers in vietnam fighting along w/ us.....

  • Thank you so much, you have no idea how long I have been looking for this since first seen this in my middle school days

  • long live vietnam, my beloved country, invaders get out!!!!

  • This was an EXCELLENT study of the war itself. Very informative. Thanks!!

  • very well made documentary

  • Both China and USSR sent AA battery and missle units directly in North Vietnam to fight US plans. That's at least partly why bombing North Vietnam didn't work well. I guess that if there is no Chinese and Russian supply and combat support, American military strategy might have worked in Vietnam. Interesting that no US documentary mentioned that.

  • Excellent play by play documentation of every major battle fought during the Vietnam conflict

  • vietnam and afgan two bravest people in the world

  • Was there a Battlefield series during the 80's comparing Nato and Warsaw Pact countries? I think I remember seeing one episode of it.

  • 30,000 Canadians went to Vietnam in the U.S. military.

  • Thanks for uploading this. As others have said already, the "Battlefield" series on WWII and Vietnam are the best war documentaries I've seen.....

  • This is completely wrong. They don't even mention the Thai invasion of Indo-China.

  • @AbsoluteMonarchist the That invasion is irrelevant.

  • @smoochym - Not irrelevant. French power was diminished by Thais and Japanese and paved the way for Viet-Minh forces. They had cross-border training and safe haven and after Korean peace, Chinese/Soviets were able to devote their entire effort to IndoChina and attacking the French throughout the North. The guerilla jungle tactics were learned fighting Japs/Thais and the allies armed the Viet-Minh after V-E day, as they were the only power. None of this is explained. All is relevant.

  • @DickyLarouse French power was diminished far more by the occupation of France, than the smallscale Thai invasion lol. Tactics were taught to the Viet Minh by ex Japanese soldiers, who also worked for the British (and in extension France) against the Viet Minh. However, by this time Britiain was far more capable at jungle warfare than the Japanese and especially the Vietnamese and Thais. Britain slaughtered the Viet Minh in 1945, before the French took over.

  • *Thai

  • War is the noblest of human endeavours.

  • I Live in HaNoi :))

  • Did America loved the South Vietnamese? Nope. They just wanted to showcase Democracy, Good over evil communism. But then when the anti war liberal democrats took over command ousting Nixon back home these American big brother just watched with folded arms as their allies were butchered by the "Evil Communist". Renewed air support would have saved Saigon but thanks to the Senate it has become illegal. In the end their allies were tortured, many choosing rather to die in small boats in attempt.

  • @InkoIning I've known some of these Vietnamese in Philippine refugee camps, wandering in the neighboring island selling wristwatches. If they knew America would left them they should rather not fight at all. What do they care about democracy or communism? they just want some rice and fish. The bitterness of war had caused the demonic behavior of their captors to torture them.

  • These documentary didn't mention the Filipino Battalion among the Koreans.

  • I was very young at the close of the Vietnam war. So, I didn't know much about it at all, and I find this documentary series very interesting indeed! I will try to watch it all over the next few weeks.

    Thanks for uploading this series.

  • whats the name of the song that plays throughout the series

  • Vietnamese love peace, but we all in ready to protect our country at any cost

  • I completely agree with you. Vietnam love peace, but for the small country such as Vietnam, it is difficult to decide their own fate. After the battle of Dien Bien Phu, China forces HCM and others Vietnamese leaders to agree Geneve accord, temporarily divide VN into two parts.....

  • @vudinhquyen0 yeah, its because we had no power to make decision on our fate, but i am glad of Vietnam leader had decided to proceed Ho Chi Minh campaign to unite North and South Vietnam. We have 88 millions people, we have our own country, we have long and proud history. Thus no enemies could rush our country again

  • @chaonoibuon

yeah, no enemies could rush our country once more.

  • @chaonoibuon This may surprise you, but many of the French soldiers who fought and died in the Indochinese war did so out of a sense of loyalty to the Vietnamese who had allied themselves with France. More Vietnamese were pro-French than we tend to remember.

  • @Anekantavad

Only in the cities, such as the scholar and upper class, but HCM learned from Mao to mobilize the masses to have giant armies. This is same in Chinese civil war.

  • Yes ty very much for this, usuly american documanturys have to much lies and propaganda

  • I am reading a really great semi-fiction book on war correpondents in the second indochina war:

'Highways to a War', Christopher Koch

Also have heard that this is the quintessential novel on the conflict:

    'The Quiet American', Graham Greene

Read. It's good for your brain.

  • where can I find the music of the opens?

  • Download the video off YouTube. Then use a video to audio converter program to turn it into a audio file. All the programs you need can be downloaded free over the internet. Including download and converting times, the whole process should take less than an hour.

  • this was a sad war. its great this documentary shows us what happened.

  • Thanks for uploading. I haven't seen the Battlefield Vietnam series before so this is awesome! And yes I agree with the others; the Battlefield series is the best!

  • i have been looking for this doc. for quite some time. thanks for uploading

  • Agreed, Zinaxu. I always loved the series' 3D battlefield maps and war footage from both sides.

  • thanks for uploading these. Battlefield is the best series ever made on war, in my opinion.

  • I agree. No sensationalism, no stupid reenactments. Just facts.

  • @Zinaxu

Is there a series about the Korean War too?
