I doesnt work for me whenever i hook it up and start a new track it doesnt record my piano

what I need to do in garageband is to hum in audio and get it transformed to guitar chords. I read that widi audio to midi exists - I have garageband 2008 with some updates from 2009. what do I need to get my voice into guitar chords on garageband?? and if that can not be done, then witch program can do it. Logic? or some other program...
