  • Ya know this is the garfield we all loved to see. I cant stand the new computer generated garfield. Its just not the same. Its like there is no life in garfield now. Sad really as comp generated is the future. But i think spoils the programne. Go back to basics. Its more fun. :-(

  • Snow must have been desperate for work

  • I actually remember this!!!

  • i like your light-saber under the veiws.MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU.

  • this rap is better than what lil wayne soulja boy & wocka flocka can do

  • Awful

who's bright idea was it to mix Garfield with (C)Rap(AKA the worst "music" ever)?

thank goodness this intro has mostly been forgotten about

  • lol "THE HIP HOP PIECE IF GARBAGE!" XD

  • @SailorHatsuneMoon too bad it wasn't HipHop LOL

  • Garfield: Thanks for watching my show, now only I done more....

  • thise dude is a better rapper than lil wayne souja boy young joc & wocka flocka combine

  • I think I vaguely remember seeing this intro when the show aired on TV, once or twice. The lyrics at the end "here they come, here they come, here they come!" are a bit familiar.

  • How do you download the video?

  • @TheSedebe

Because nobody liked it & CBS wanted fans to forget this intro.

  • i wonder why the intro was rare...

  • Garfield and Friends Season 7 Timeslots:

    9/10/94 to March 1995- 11:00am to Noon

    March 1995 to 9/2/95- 10:30 to 11:30am or 10:00 to 11:00am

    9/9/95 to 10/7/95- 11:30am

  • @UrkManRocks Season x (idk which it was...) 97-2000

    5:00 am....

  • Worst. Song. Ever.

  • @ioph3 Let's nuke CBS.

  • I Love this TV Opening!

  • According to TV sources, During the final season (1994-95) , this show was up against 3 BIG shows in the same timeslot (11:00-noon), X-Men pair with Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego? and The Bugs Bunny & Tweety Show from Fox and ABC, respectively.

  • garbage!!!

  • It's not that bad actually, kind of catchy.

thats wierd, why does the intro remind of another retro, funky R&B song?

    o.O

  • does anyone realise rap can kill any show? look at dragonball gt. :/

  • Who sung this version of the theme song?!?...Wesley Willis!?!

  • It burns since it so BAD!

  • Garfield=&=friends=was=off=tv=of=CBS=becase=they=take=all=saturday=cartoons=off=air=for=news=in=the=mid=90s=to=late=90s=for=news=&=TMNT=on=CBS=to=bad=for=we=cantoon=fans=i=hate=for=CBS=doing=this.

  • what eposide is the one from 0:28 to 0:30?

  • ....What the hell? How can such an awesome cartoon show have a horrible theme song? D:

  • Double-rabble-rabble! He's a cat and I know that!

I always WONDERED where I heard that!

  • By the time this intro started, the episode segments were into complete reruns anyway.

  • That song is NOT him

  • The only thing I remember from this theme was the scene where Garfield gets knocked off the stairs. Also notice how most of the footage here is from the Garfield Rap episode.

  • i rather this then the shitty garfield show they ram in our mouths today. : D

  • can you find this song in spanish version?

  • PFC. Zzz

  • I'm so glad I didn't see this when I was growing up.

  • @APfilmmakers Me too. No offense to anyone, but this theme SUCKS! O_o

  • thats so cute!!!!

  • I don't think it's THAT bad!

  • wow this was awful

  • Seinfeld intro lol

  • I wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry over this. The "We're Ready to Party, We're Ready" intro was the best one of the buch. Heck, I'll even listen to the "Friends are there" theme.

  • "Dat's me!" Wow that sounded retarded...

  • 3 WORDS !!! IT ... IS ... AWSOME !!!

    @Xzyx987X you did a great job !!!

KAMPARI !!! *means cheers in japanese*

    REALY YOUR MY HERO !!!

  • @UltraRage123 never seen it before

  • this is horrible

  • I think that other people were jealous over how awesome garfield was so they sabotaged his theme and made it lame

  • Thank GOD they didn't use this intro. The intro from the first season or 2 was by far my favorite, I could get by with intro #2, but this would have set a horrible tone for the show each episode. I haven't seen the new series but anything besides a classic cartoon like this was, IMO, would hurt it. For me Garfield&Friends was like an addition to the comics (for the most part, moreso early on) A CG version seems like it would take that away.

  • @AgentSmithClan They actually did use this intro for the final season though. Funnily enough, the TMNT "Red Sky" era began that same season in the Fall of 1994. CBS' morning block was never the same.

  • I loved the humour of this show. It was VERY smart and VERY clever. Much ahead of most of the cartoons of the time.

  • this was just a piece of shit with clips from that Cool Cat music video...

and dude, that song sucked ass.

must have had a VERY low budget...

  • @TheStickKid Fuck you

  • Never try to be cool. Just don't.

  • @97channel Correction: Never let 80-year-old network executives try to be cool.

  • Say what you will.... BUt this IS STILL a ton better then that OTHER Garfield show we have on now

  • @webhead37 what garfield show are we having now? oh you mean the piece of shit my 3 year old cousin always curses at whenever he sees it?

  • @kittyjuliette Lol! That would be the one

  • @webhead37 CG animation ruins the charm of the show. It's totally hacky. I mean, Garfield started as a hand-drawn comic strip. not some creepy looking CG avatar

  • It's like they didn't even try with the lyrics. So he's a cat, he's fat and lazy, and he likes lasagna. Thanks, we knew that.

  • This theme really doesn't go with Garfield's character

  • Phat Fresh!

  • I had blissfully forgotten about this opening. Damn you! :(

  • Man I'm glad I outgrew Saturday morning cartoons before this crappy theme was inflicted on us.

This cartoon ruled though. Even if US Acres was kind of lame.

  • i can honestly say i do nooooot remember this one at all and this is one i watched religuosly

  • No opening gag?

  • Wow...this really sucks. Who the hell came up with it...

    Interesting upload though.

  • sounds like it was done in some douche's basement

  • I remember when i was lil and this came on sunday morning at like 6am. sweet.

  • And that replaced the epic "We're ready to party" intro... sad.

  • what if garfirld met amy rose?

  • i feel less hardcore just by watching that video

  • Ouch. This show was cancelled the year I was born.

  • What did he say at 00:20?

  • i think moody

  • Garfield is one of my all time cartoon. I have all 5 volumes on dvd. This song wasn't in the dvd and I wish that it was. I also like Garfields friends with the farm friends. There funny including wade the duck.Roy,Orsen and many others. R.I.P. to the person who voiced Garfield Lorenzo Music ( I hope i spelled his name right)!!

  • I actually never saw that as a kid.

I guess thats a good thing.

  • uh-NO!!!!!!

  • I like all 3, but my favorite one was the "Friends are there" intro, it's the first one I've ever heard.

  • that's the best of the theme songs

  • did they actaully think this would work?

  • I don't recall this theme from any of the old show of Garfield and Friends...

  • it was never used beause it got such bad rating in the testing sequence.

  • bill murray died

  • garfeld is a stupid dog

  • This intro seems fan~made by a 7 year old, I can't believe this was real.

  • "he so crazy"

this solecism should be brought back

  • Did the "Flea Market Montgomery" guy write this.

  • Wow... I thought I'd never hear this tune again, except for the endless times that I replayed it in my mind. That website you got there is amazing, and I was also very disappointed at the lack of bonus material on the garfield DVDs. Sometimes we like to go down a trip on nostalgia lane.

  • Is this.... mon dieu!!!

  • first second or so sounds like seinfeld.

  • Comment removed

  • lmao so true!

  • @motionfur i know i thought of that at first too

  • wow i totally 4got about this intro, i agree its god awful. it is ashame it ended lke this. i wish they could bring it back as reruns on boomerang or something. At least its on dvd. in my opinion its more fun turning the tv on and actually waching your fav show rather than always having to go out and buy it. its only about money 2day, the quality of shows went down the drain after the 80s and 90s.

  • Comment removed

  • This is one of the things that ended the show. It was such a shame that it had to end that way. It was the best cartoon in the 1990's. Much better than anything on Nickelodeon, although those were good as well.

  • more like "Here they go, here they go, here they go."

so, should that intro be considered a shark jump? or had the show deteriorated to that point already. I can't remember . .

  • 0:58 I guess Garfield was speechless over that awful intro.

  • @InvaderPet He's smiling because he's trying to show how great it is, but he's really shocked at it

  • @InvaderPet Ils ont dit qu'ils effectivement manqué d'idées. :] Thumbs up si vous avez aimé cette vidéo.

Thumbs down si vous avez détesté cette vidéo.

  • @InvaderPet Or maybe it was because he said "After seven seasons, we've pretty much said everything we can say on this show." Which may have meant that Garfield's post-theme song pre-title card speech was gonna be removed.

  • @MrCrazyToad The source of this clip (Peter of Platypus Comix) said that they forgot to dub in Garfield's one-liner on this particular episode.

Also, anyone else think the singer of this theme is completely bored?

  • You're all haters.

  • *mimics Dr. Cox from Scrubs* No no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no no. That was GOD awful...poor Garfield...

  • I guess this was a sign that this was the end..Garfield didn't even quote at the end like he usually does, he was like" f**k it i'm about to be cancelled anyway.."

  • holy crap that was awful.

  • that intro was so bad that I died a little inside and me and my eardrums(especially my eardrums) felt pain.

  • I hated this opening, die!

  • this intro sux compared to the previous ones

  • garfield is fat

  • Alright.

  • Ive seen this one. I alwasy like the double wabbo waboo part

  • Don't ever remember seeing this intro.

    Like it :)

  • live long and prosper garfield wow i have not seen this cartoon in decades since the fall of the USSR

  • Never saw that Intro before. That...was different.

  • I don't ever remember seeing this intro before, and I've seen most episodes (including the final season). Even so, I prefer Ready To Party than this intro.

  • Were ready to party was the only good one, this one's even worse than the friends are there version from early on....

  • I like this one the best of the three

  • I've never seen this intro before. 0_0

  • I NOT BUT...

  • my fave intros

    1.were ready to party

    2.this one

    3.friends are there

  • guys question why when i want to watch garfield episodes none of them were good as the old ones what happened to the high qualty episodes?

  • I wonder why the 1st season is not posted That was the best intro ... This blows a Fat Sack

  • screw you garfield is awesome (p.s. coldplay does suck.)

  • xd yuo this show is toobig

  • lolz nostalgic even if i wasn't there

  • but...

  • This sucks. I'd rather suck donkey balls.

  • "Hip-Hop Piece Of Garbage" ROFL

  • i can"t belive i"m the lol!!

  • i like this song!!

  • btw... what happened to his little comment at the end of the intro?

  • There was one specific time when, as a gag, no comment was made but Garfield still did the finger point. I think by pure chance this upload just happens to carry it. But I do remember it happening when the show was originally on.

  • Wasn't that a CBS mix-up?

  • I don't think it was, and the more I think about it, the more I want to say the very first time Garfield made no comment was during the "we're ready to party" theme.

  • only used in syndication!

  • is cool(not cool cat is Garfield ok?) :) you see?

  • 178 PIZZAS XD COOL MAN

  • hey cool cat garfield cat is cool

    hey garfield

  • garfield meter=

    10000000000% cool

  • "time to party" does any one notice the sienfeld bass at start??

  • i like the ready to party one. its energetic and zanny

  • I can't belive I'm the only one I know who actually likes this song.

  • well i like this song

  • 0:14 that's from garfield's feline fantasies =D LOL

  • Lorenzo Music is a SPINNING in his grave with crap like this!

That theme song got worse as teh series progressed!!

  • Coming back here after a year, I still don't think this intro is THAT bad. This is just what rap/hip hop sounded like back then. The singing might not have been the best though. I think the "ready to party" intro is the worst one. At least this one is catchy. But my favorite will always be the "Friends are there..." intro.

  • Cool video! XD

  • This opening was not included on the DVD releases...thankfully.

  • what version did there replace it with?

  • The ready to party one.

  • its catchy but awful...

  • dumb ass u edited it a hole fuckin lot!!!

  • ???

  • He did not!

  • Garfield is speechless. He must've agreed that the song was horrible.

  • who likes garfield

  • Huh?!

  • Straight up GANKSTA!

  • This is just like the subsequent openings of Captin Planet. HORRIBLE. The people who made these openings were probably spies sent to take down the show. I love Garfield, but I almost hate this enough not to watch the show. These people need to learn that they are not the Japanese who can consitently come up with good opeinings. The American rule should be: If it ain't broke...DON'T CHANGE IT!!!!!!!!!

  • I dont remember that opening, and I am a huge Garfield fan....hmmm I remember the entire song and it did not sound like that. I t had Garfield singing...mebay that was a different season...and he talks at that one puase in the end too. hmmm odd
