In SSB64, every character had punishing combos and most were capable of 0-death combos. Melee some of the cast couldn't combo properly and their were barely any 0-deaths. And Brawl can't combo or punish for shit.
Isai probably just likes 64 due to how powerful everyone is. With its high hitstun leading to near broken combos for most characters, it's the most balanced of the 3.

i will still argue that brawl is the most character balanced game. Does that mean that competitively balanced? NO. I'm talking about the bare bones, two people that never played teh game, anybody can win, and i find that to be more impacting when there are 39 characters vs 26 or 12.
If it's not from a competitive standpoint, it doesn't matter. Casuals will pick up whatever character they like and play them. Since they're not going to be delving deep into the game, ALL Smash games will seem balanced.
And more characters just means more characters. Doesn't mean much for balance in a casual setting.

But I'll still stand by the fact that this is totally irrelevant when truly comparing the balance of the three games (64>Melee and Brawl character balance wise).

i really dont know much about 64 besides that there is no DI, only smash DI, and that combos are still being invented because of how deep the combos can be. But the fact that there are a lot of 0-KO combos in 64 i think means that melee is more balanced, either way it's where the money's gonna be in about a year i'd say.
Melee's more balanced when it comes to the "push-pull" mechanic of fighting games because offensive and defensive playstyles are pretty equal. 64 is overly offensive while Brawl is overly defensive. But what makes 64 more balanced character wise is that everybody can pretty much combo and punish effectively. In Melee, some characters can't combo well or punish effectively.

Take into account the chances of some random person picking metaknight, and some random person picking falcon/samus/whoever. Chances are, the metaknight will win.
Metaknight and snake completely and totally destroy any argument that brawl is "balanced". Because it's not.

not isai himself but i doubt that everyone to hims a noob. johnny and sossi are two players that isai probably think of them as a good rival and/or competitor, never the less there is absolutly NO hack or anything involved.
proof? just look at isai's pikachu on jigglypuff's combo, u can see that he actually messed up the previous one and did a retry, also shows how good he is, reflex and everything that he dosent need TAS for his combo vid.

The people using Kirby/Ness/Fox/Mario are terrible at the game. You can tell. But yes, Isai is good, but come on, look at that guy playing Mario and Kirby, can we say noob.

eh, doesnt really matter. in ssb64, combos arent that easy to escape because there's not DI in the n64 version of smash. as long as the correct first hit is made and if isai does mess up, ur fucked.

sshh, not supposed to say that. most ppl simply believe there isnt any for the fact that there are some ridicolous combos. but yeah, there IS Di, but nothing like the Di present in melee

Lol ya. But in the combos on ssb64 training mode u can only get out by the throws. So if the counters still going...Ur doing a real combo

Actually, if you look at Isai's vids, he is fighting the best players from west japan, and comboing them to hell. Isai can do the combos on anyone. That's why he's the best at ssb64
